Show Orem-Geneva Times Wednesday, May 10, 1989 Page 9 Utahns in vited to submit Prime-Time Social Club to organize design for new certificate The Utah Departments of Health and Social Services are sponsoring a statewide contest to develop a border design for the "Utah Heirloom Certificate of live Birth." This high quality document will be suitable for framing and meet all the legal standards for a certified copy of live birth. The design winner will receive a $300 cash award from the DSS Division of Family Services Children's Trust Fund. A portion of the monies paid to the DOH Bureau of Vital Records and Heath Statistics Statis-tics for the heirloom certificate will be given to the Children's Trust Fund for child abuse prevention programs. Any Utah resident may submit a border design for the heirloom certificate. Marketing and art students stu-dents from high schools and colleges col-leges are especially encouraged to participate. The paper for the design must be 11 inches by 14 inches. The border bor-der may be as wide as two inches on the sides and up to three inches at the top and bottom. The design may include symbols associated with Utah's history. The titles, "State of Utah" and "Certificate of Live Birth" may also be included in the top border. If the design includes more than one color, the art work submitted must be separated for color reproduction. All entries shall be "photo ready." - ' Designs must be submitted to the Division of Family Services, Children's Trust Fund, Department Depart-ment of Social Service, 150 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. A panel of judges, including advertising and art experts, will select the winning design. All entries become the property of the Utah Children's Trust Fund and will not be returned. Entries must be submitted between be-tween May 1 and September 1. The winner will be announced at the Eighth National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect in Salt Lake City on October 22-23. Single men and women, over the age of 50, find it very hard to have much of a social life. A group of concerned people in this age group organized the Prime-Time Social Club in Salt Lake City about a year ago. Several of their members mem-bers live in Utah County. With the encouragement of the Salt Lake people, a chapter of the Prime-Time Social Club is being formed south of months the Point of the Mountain. Nearly 15 members have now joined the Utah County chapter. These people conduct weekly social events, including card parties, par-ties, dinners, dances, square dancing danc-ing lessons, bowling, and occasional bus trips to Wendover and Evanston. Senior piano recital Three senior high school girls, Rachelle Abegg, Becky Hancock, and Lori Pendray, who are students stu-dents of Jil Abegg, will be playing a senior piano recital on Friday, May 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bill Harris Music Company. These students will be playing from the works of such composers as Chopin, Debussy, Gershwin, Greig, Mozart, Paganini, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Rachman-inoff, Saint-Saens. Not only are these students accomplished in piano performance, perfor-mance, but they are all high honor students at the Mountain View High School and talented in dance, swimming, drama band, and hold various leadership positions posi-tions in their school and church activity groups. Lori is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Pendray, Becky is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hancock, and Rachelle the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myrlon Abegg.
