Magic Although the Scera Shell in Orem will be a stage for Salt Lake City magician Jack Hart this summer, he is not the only person who plans to bring Magic to Utah Valley's entertainment enter-tainment scene. A three-month schedule of enchanting en-chanting shows arranged by producer Mark Ungerman is designed to bring a summer of magic to Scera audiences. From late May through early September, the outdoor theater will be filled with the sounds of dancing, musicals, plays and concerts. The season is co-sponsored by the Scera and by Magic 107 FM radio. The season will begin May 29 when popular Utah actor James Arr-ington Arr-ington brings his personal brand of homespun humor to "Farley Family Reunion," a gentle poke at family reunions everywhere. He plays multiple multi-ple parts ranging from a young child to an aging grandfather. The 8 p.m. show can also be seen May 30. During June the Scera will bring Bill Kelly's "The Magic of Polynesia" for one SO-minute show June 5 at 8 p.m. He has directed the Aloha Islanders for more than 13 years in Polynesian extravagenzas highlighting the cultures of Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, Samoa and Tonga. The musical "Charlie's Monument" Monu-ment" will feature the talents of Marvin Mar-vin Payne and Rosanna Weeks Ungerman June 13 and 14 at 8 p.m. The play is taken from Blaine Yorgason's book by the same title. Jazz will take the forefront June 19 at 8 p.m. when Brigham Young University professor Ray Smith and his orchestra, the Consort Jazz vocal ensemble and the Jazzin' dance ensemble combine their talents for a fast-paced and spirited evenine. James B. Lee Elected President Of Utah Foundation James B. Lee was elected president of Utah Foundation at the annual meeting of the Foundation held on May 5, 1986 at the Alta Club in Salt Lake City. He succeeds Don M. Wheeler, who has served as the Foundation's president since 1983. Other , officers re-elected were Charles L. Bates, Jr., of Springville as first vice president and Ernest A. Mettenet of Salt Lake City as second vice president. Mr. Lee currently is president of the Salt Lake law firm of Parsons,' Behle, and Latimer. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1952 and eventually became a Brigadier General in the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. Mr. Lee also attended the Stanford University BYU Slates Book Conference The second annual conference on Non-fiction Books For Children will take place June 16-20 at the Brigham Young University Conference Center. Classes will begin at 8 a.m. each day and continue until 5 p.m. Classes include "Creative Teaching with Non-fiction," Non-fiction," "Fact in Fiction; Fiction in Fact," "Children's Magazines" and "The Little Extras that Add Pizzazz to a Reading Program." Miller, owner of nine automobile dealerships, including six in Utah, will lecture on "Beginning a Business then Becoming an Entrepreneur" En-trepreneur" Thursday (May 22) at Brigham Young University. The lecture, which is open to the public, will be presented at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. in 710 Tanner Building. Miller, part-owner of the Utah Jazz, began his automotive career at a parts store in Salt Lake City. After spending a few years in Colorado gaining experience in the industry, he returned to Salt Lake City in 1979 and purchased the Toyota dealership. Since that time he has acquired five more dealerships in Utah, including the new Hyundai dealership, two in Arizona and one in Idaho. The ensemble of artists will perform August 25 at 8 p.m. The season will end Sept. 6 with Law School and graduated from the George Washington Law School in 1960 and has served as president of both the Salt Lake County Bar Association and the Utah State Bar. BYU Genealogy Seminar Slated Aug. 11-13 A seminar for the advanced amateur and professional genealogist will be held Aug. 11-13 at the Brigham Young University Conference Center. The BYU Annual Genealogical Seminar will no longer provide beginning-level classes. Each participant may choose two out of four courses offered, including: , Genealogies and Family Histories as Literature; Genealogy as a Profession; Profes-sion; Southern United States Research; and Genealogist and the Computer. The four classes will run from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. The courses will be taught by a variety of experts, including Raymond S.
