Frandsen, son of David G. and Anna-Lena Frandsen, has been called to serve in the Japan Osaka Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An open house will be held in his honor Saturday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 983 E. 315 S. in Orem. The Farewell Sacrament Service Ser-vice will be held the following day at 8:30 a.m. at the Orem 33rd Ward, 50 S. 800 E., Orem. MICHAEL D. Opens Orem Branch Selecting Orem as their first Utah site, the Knutson Mortgage and Financial Corporation officially opened open-ed Thursday at 1095 S. 800 E., Suite 5, Orem. Home office of the branch is in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Manager of the local company is Darrel Clark of Pleasant Grove. He has been in the mortgage banking business for the past seven years, and prior to that was in real estate. Completing Com-pleting the staff are Sharon Hatch and Anne Larson of the ProvoOrem area who previously I were with Utah Mortgage; The Knutson organization began in 1911 as the Standard Construction Company. In the 1940's the company diversified into mortgage banking, insurance, in-surance, real estate development and property management. Servicing nearly 200 billion dollars in real estate mortgages, the corporation is in the top 100 mortgage banking firms in the nation. Although Orem was chosen for their initial Utah exposure, Knutson Mortgage and Financial Corporation also plans to open a Salt Lake office by the end of February, 1984. Expansion Expan-sion plans call for 15 to 20 new offices in operation by the end of 1984 adding to their present 38 operating branches. Slieep, Goat Permits Authorized The Board of Big Game Control recently authorized permits for the once-in-a-lifetime hunts for desert bighorn sheep, Rocky Mountain goat and buffalo. The number of permits for all three species was increased this year. The application period for the hunts will be February 1 thronph 29. BYU Offers Free Genealogy Class Free classes on genealogical subjects such as Danish research, English parish records and U.S. land records will be given in Brigham Young University's Lee Library Sunday (Feb. 5). The classes are sponsored by the Utah Valley Genealogical Library. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the first class will discuss research in Latter-day Latter-day Saint records.
