Show PTA Awards Scholarships Two outstanding students stu-dents were selected by a committee to receive the annual Orem PTA Scholarship of $250 following interviews held recently at Orem High School. Rebecca Morris, daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Cornellius, and Rebecca Downs, daughter of Mr.ind Mrs. Robert Downs, received the scholarship at the Orem High School Awards Aw-ards assembly. Miss Morris will attend at-tend Snow College this fall majoring in Elementary Ele-mentary Education. While at Orem High she was aTigerett, a member of the Track Team for two years, and participated in Unified Studies. Ushy Conies v Announced For rem Festival One of the most exciting ex-citing events scheduled as part of the OremSummer Festival is the Annual Baby Ba-by Contest. Peggy Mower Mow-er and Donna Richards representing the Orem Boosters, will serve as co - chair of this summer's sum-mer's activity. They have released the following information in-formation to those who will be interested in entering en-tering their babies in the contest. 1. All contestants and their parents must be residents re-sidents of Orem. 2. All contestants must be pre - registered. Registration Re-gistration forms are available av-ailable in the Orem -Ge-nva Times and will .appear .ap-pear in the May 31st, June 7th, and June 14th issues. Necessary information must include the name of the baby, the name of the UTC Council Outstanding The Student Council of Utah Technical College at Provo and Orem has selected the Outstanding Student of 1978-79 to address ad-dress the UTC Spring Commencement Exercises Exer-cises on Thursday, May 31 at 6 p.m. on the Orem Campus. He is Alan M. Kendall, an electrical and automation auto-mation student from Levan, Utah. Kendall will be moving to Portland, Oregon and has a job as a Technician in the Instrumental Instru-mental Design Department Depart-ment of Rust Engineering after graduation. Utah State Senator Warren Pugh will be the main speaker at the event. The program will be held in the outdoor plaza on the second level of the Orem campus outside the Soren-sen Soren-sen Student Center. It is the first time the commencement com-mencement will be held on the new Orem Campus. President Wilson W. Sor-ensen Sor-ensen will conduct the outdoor out-door services. The third address at the exercises will be given by Bruce Burnett, outgoing out-going Studentbody President. Presi-dent. Graduation day will be a busy day for Burnett. Bur-nett. He is also getting married the same day he graduates in Electrical and Automation. Utah State Regents Vice Chairman Charles E. Peterson and Regent J. Lynn Dougan will present pre-sent the diplomas to almost al-most 200 graduates at the ceremonies. Attending the graduations exercises representing the office of higher education will be Dr. Robert M.
