Fay Johnson, chairman of the Orem Landscape and Beatification Beatifica-tion Committee, succeeds Warren War-ren Bunting in the war against ugliness. He reports the com mittee has zeroed in on junk autos as the first target this year. And estimates that, in spite of nearly a hundred hauled to the lake, there are still some 500 rusting heaps marring Orem's image. Mr. Bunting will continue to serve on the committee as the Chamber of Commerce representative. repre-sentative. Other members are Mrs. Richard Kerr, president of the Garden Club, Mrs. Paul Ferguson, Ed E. Lewis, Verl Madsen and Mrs. Stanley Thayne, secretary. In a recent meeting it was suggested to call in service organizations or-ganizations or perhaps the National Na-tional Guard to help haul old autos. Mr. Bunting stated that a handicap last year was the necessity neces-sity of establishing car ownership owner-ship before being allowed to haul the cars away, but now, he said, the police department has legal forms to fill out which make this establishment unnecessary. Chairmen were appointed to select persons within their own stakes to work as committees on beautification problems in their areas. Mr. Lewis was assigned as-signed Sharon Stake and Mr. Madsen, Orem West Stake.
