Utah Power & Light Co. Little Leaguers Prepare For Game Opening June 3 William P. Bird, Little League Director for the SCERA Recreation Recre-ation Program, said Wednesday that most of the Little Leaguers are registered and the teams are earnestly preparing for June 3 and 4 to begin league play. With somewhere near 300 new players filling in the ranks, this should be another big year,0 Mr. Bird said. There is much to be seen in a Little League game, according to Mr. Bird. The ten-year old rookies rook-ies are trying their wings and taking their lumps. The "old veterans"ll and 12-year olds are showing their stuff, and also taking tak-ing a few lumps. Aside from this, the new Little League fan always finds quite a surprise in store for him as he discovers the brand of baseball played by these youngsters. Of course, there is always the added attraction in the bleachers occupied by anxious mothers and proud fathers. There is nothing quite so colorful as an avid baseball base-ball fan, and there is no baseball base-ball fan quite like a Little League parent. Officials and team managers urge friends and neighbors to get in on the spectacle and become Little League fans. This year all games will be played on the Orem City Park. There are six games scheduled each afternoon, Monday through Friday, beginning at 5:20 p.m. A full schedule will be released releas-ed at a later date. 9- 10 A.M. Intermediate 10- 11 A.M.
