The following follow-ing "obituaries," coinciding with the end of summer, were written by Bitsy Beall's 7th-grade English students stu-dents at Treasure Mountain Middle School. NANCY 95 DEGREES by Laura Moote Today we are all mourning the death of our dearly beloved Nancy 95 Degrees. Poor Nancy passed away when she was only three months old. She was born on June 3, 1996 and died sometime in the last few days of August 1996.' Nancy lived a short, but sweet, life. She died when she was rudely and abruptly pushed off a soft cloud by Freddie Fall. Many of Nancy's close friends report that "Freddie is one mean dude!" All of the boys reported that "Nancy was one hot chick!" Nancy did many great things in her life, like warming us all up and helping us improve on our tans. We will all miss our good friend Nancy. Nancy has left behind her mother moth-er and father 58 and 36 Degrees. She also left behind her brother and her two sisters, 83, 78 and 63 Degrees. Her mother and father will mourn in sadness. Nancy will be buried next to her grandmother, 100 Degrees, who lives in the Florida Keys. Donation of warm winter clothes would be greatly appreciated because "Nancy kept us all warm" replied her parents. We will miss you Nancy 95 Degrees. BOB BASKETBALL by Ben Klingenstein Bob Basketball died Aug. 20, 1996, at the age of five. He lived from Aug. 2, 1991-Aug. 20, 1996. He died from ball deflation. He scored many baskets for his friend Joe Stevens on his high school team. He graduated in the top of his class at Rawlings College. He is survived by his parents par-ents Fred and Eric Wilson. They are NBA balls and are still scoring a lot of baskets. The funeral will take place at 3251 B-Ball Lane on Sept. 1, 1996. Donations would be greatly appreciated. appre-ciated. FRANK FISH by Erin Evers Frank Fish went belly up on July 13, 1996 at the age of seven months old. Frank's short tale ended due to bad fish food. The veterinarian said Frank was fin ished off by a little bit of cat food in his fish flakes. Ironically, in his life, Frank's personality was grave. We will all miss him very much. He was a great fish. Frank Fish became good friends with the poisonous sea anemone, Sally. Frank would swim around in the anemone. He graduated from Clown School and joined the Navy. It was there that he won his stripes. His survivors are his brother Fred, his sister Flower and his stepmother, Florence. Frank Fish's burial will be held at the Holy Toilet. Directions to the burial are down the hall and to the left. Be sure you knock before you enter. Donations of fish flakes are greatly appreciated. TINA INNER TUBE by Sarah Harward Tina Inner Tube was born on June 2, 1996 to the loving parents of Nina Noodle and Stewart Swimmy. Tina sadly lost air and totally deflated, Aug. 26, 1996. Tina was red, blue and purple. REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER She was very bright. Her favorite places to go were swimming pools, lakes and rivers. Tina won several awards: three Life Saving Awards, two Diving Into Awards and she always flipped over good splashes. Tina Inner Tube's funeral will be held at Splash and Play Pool Aug. 30, 1996 at 3 p.m. Kiddie swimming pools and other donations will be accepted. ROLAND T. ROLLERBLADE by Joe Mulia Roland T. Rollerblade died on Aug. 15, 1996. He was 70 years old. The cause of death started when he completely fell apart. He graduated from Roller Rink University with a master degree. He rode top notch for 70 years, but his time was rolling out. Soon, he lost his bearings and took a turn for the worst. A week later, he fell apart and died. His only remaining family is his brother, Ronald P. Rollerblade. Buried at 7696 Roller Blade Road. For more information on donations, call 1-800-1-Want-Your-Money. Donations greatly appreciated. MR. BOAT JACKSON by Nikki Erwin My best friend that I will miss dearly, Mr. Boat Jackson, died very peacefully Monday, Aug. 26, after he sank into a coma following an skiing accident at the age of 75. Boat was berthed in 1921 at Pirates Cove Hospital in Malibu, Calif. He grew up in Malibu and continued his life as an adult in Park City, Utah. As a young boy Boat was a great speed boat racer and attempted flying, but was beaten consistently by a Dutchman from the Northern Sea. Boat is survived by his wife Sail Lund Jackson, sons Anchor Walt Jackson and Boat Jackson, Jr., daughter Hailey Jackson and a mast of grandchildren. In his delirium he often spoke of ferries. He liked them very much. I hope he is with them now. Known for rockin' out, he'll be missed by me and ya'wl. Boat Jackson will be buried at sea on Aug. 29 at 10 p.m. in the Bermuda Triangle. Guest attendance atten-dance not required. In lieu of flowers, flow-ers, send limes, you scurvy dogs. MARK E. MARKS-A-LOT by Patrick Kilbourn Mark E. Marks-a-Lot died July 28, 1996. He used up all his ink highlighting the last chapter of his life. He was raised up in a nice colorful col-orful box at Wal-Mart. Some of Mark's achievements have been high marks for his contribution con-tribution to essay tests and art exhibitions. He is survived by his sister Aqua Marine and his brother Burnt Umber and several felt-tipped felt-tipped markers. Mark donated his body to the Marks-a-Lot research lab. For donations, please go to your local ink bank and send ink to the Marks-a-Lot Corporation. POLLYANNA POOL by Cori E. Swisher Today we mourn the fact that our dear friend Pollyanna Pool is gone. She died in the fall, she hit her head. Polly was born on June 3, at 1328 Pool Place Road, in the city of Sanders Pool and Spa. Polly enjoyed life with her own free-style and grace. Her special interests include caring for adolescents and supporting women through menopause and the post-menopausal years. Dr. Stewart received her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah with honors including Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. She finished a Master of Public Health Degree at Columbia University in New York with a concentration on maternal and child health and nutrition. Dr. Stewart received her medical degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana with honors, AOA. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Stewart is board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Stewart joins Cynthia A. Jones, M.D., Stephen D. Lash, M.D., Dave E. Theurer, M.D., Kathy M. Doerrfeld, M.D., Rita A. She" was very active and had many hobbies, hob-bies, some included: water polo, pool, synchronized swimming to name a few. Polly's mother and father, Harold and Hozephina Hottub, say that they will miss Polly terribly. terri-bly. "The best thing about Polly is that she never goggled at anyone," say Harold in reference to Polly. The service will be held at Lake Baikal at 3:30 p.m. Polly will have a traditional burial at sea. SIERRA SWIMSUIT by Melina Froelich Today we mourn the great loss of Sierra Swimsuit, who died on Aug. 15, 1996. She died very young, at the age of three months she suffered quite a tragic death. She died by being slowly eaten away by the most vicious enemy known to all swimsuits, Calvin Chlorine. Sierra Swimsuit was born at the White Water Hospital on May 25, 1996. That day was a very special and glorious day for Sierra's parents par-ents Same and Samantha Swimsuit because it was their first child. When Sierra was two days old she won her first race. After that she continued to win most of her races ad was named the S.O.S. (Swimmer of Summer) the day before she passed on. She is survived by her parents, Sam and Samantha Swimsuit who said when they were interviewed, "We only wish we could have stretched out the time we spent with our only child." She will be missed by her parents and two close friends, Gus Goggles and Cathy Cap. Funeral services for Sierra Swimsuit will be held by he seas at 6 o'clock this Saturday. Sam and Samantha will accept all donations. SUZY SOCCER BALL by Rita Palmer Suzy Soccer Ball was born March 20, 1980. Died Aug. 24, 1996 at age 16. She died when the. soccer ball hit her in the stomach and she got the wind knocked out of her. Then she deflated. When someone kicked her she tried to make a point that kicking wasn't very nice. Suzy was very round. He mom used to roll on about how Suzy was at soccer. Suzy is survived by her mom, Mrs. Fields, her dad Mr. Post, Uncle Coach and her friend Net. Her burial will be at North 40. If you give donations, give rolls. MOLLY MACINTOSH by Jessica Covington Molly Macintosh was born July 18, 1984 and died on July 16, 1996. She was 11 years old. She died of complications from two fractured disks caused by falling down the stairs on the way to the computer lab. She also suffered from an unknown virus. Molly proudly graduated from Packard Bell Elementary School and received a CD rom for writing the best Christmas program. She was also well known to be the best printer in 5th grade. She is survived by her father IBM "Mac" Macintosh. Her mother, moth-er, Mem Marie Macintosh, died from a severe mouse bite in 1990. Molly's burial will take place on Monitor Hill located at 356 Hard Drive. Please give donations to Mr. Mac Macintosh. L |
