Meet new ad agency All members of the Park City Area Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau are invited to attend an introduction to the ChamberBureau's new advertising agency, Gardiner Advertising Agency of Salt Lake City, on Friday, February 25 at 5 p.m. in the Coalition Room at Prospector Square Hotel & Conference Center. This gathering will conclude with a screening of the new Ski Utah film which was produced by Gardiner, entitled, "Utah the Greatest Snow on Earth." All ChamberBureau members are encouraged to attend this presentation by Gardiner and to view the Ski Utah film. (224) Postal directories available Extra copies of the 1983 Park City Postal Directory will be available Friday, Feb. 18, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Memorial Building. (217) Alcoholics Anonymous The local group of Alcoholics Anonymous is meeting each Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the parish hall of St. Mary's church. (tfn) Meeting on hazardous waste The public is invited to the Thursday, Feb. 17 of the Park CitySummit county League of Women Voters, which will debate, "Does Hazardous Waste Really Have to be Hazardous?" Hazar-dous?" The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 121 Park Avenue. It will feature a slide presentation developed by the Salt Lake City League of Women Voters. (217) Attn: senior citizens The Park City Senior Citizens meet Mondays and Thursdays Thur-sdays for dinner at the center. They are anxious for new members. Anyone over 55 years of age is eligible. Library offers tax help Are you tired of waiting in a line or on the telphone to get help with your federal income tax return? The Park City Library has cassette tapes with recorded instructions on how to fill out both the short Form 1040A, 1040EZ and the longer Form 1040, along with Schedules A and B. These tapes, prepared by the Internal Revenue Service, can be checked out just like a book and played at home on any standard cassette tape player. There is even a provision for stopping the tape at convenient points to finish working on a section of the form. Persons using these cassette tapes should have their tax forms and instructions available so that they can work right along with the tape. (414) Community church school Park City's thriving community Sunday School program is a joint effort by three Protestant churches. Held each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. at the Park City Community Church, 402 Park Avenue, the classes consist of people from the Community Com-munity Church, Shepherd of the Mountain Lutheran Church and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Ranging from preschool ages through adults, the enrollment now exceeds 50, and more students are arriving each Sunday. Sunday School is from 9 until 10 a.m., with worship services at the Park City Community Church (Methodist affiliated) following at 10: 15 a.m. During the worship hour, child care is provided for youngsters of kindergarten and below. The first session will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m., the second from 5:30 to 7 p.m. There is room for two more participants in each class. A computer science class will begin Monday, March 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. An automobile maintenance class will begin March 28. Beginning and intermediate Spanish will begin Monday, Feb. 28, 6 to 7 p.m. and 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Shop and sewing classes need a few more participants. (217) Family planning The Park City Community Clinic, a nonprofit family planning plan-ning program, will be holding clinics during February. Appointments Ap-pointments are available for morning, afternoon and evening clinics. The senices offered include physical exams, PAP tests, counseling and education, VD screening, pregnancy testing and contraceptive supplies. Costs for these services are reasonable. No one will be denied use of the clinic and all services ser-vices are confidential. For information or an appointment, please call 649-5989. (224) Counseling for low-income families Because of a recent federal grant, the Park City Family Counseling Institute is offering counseling services to low-income low-income families and single-parent families. Fees are on a sliding scale according to income. The Institute is open from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday and evenings by appointment. (224) Lamplighter is open The Lamplighter is sponsored by Park City's Ecumenical Council to provide an alternative place of entertainment. It will be a casual atmosphere of live entertainment, serving coffees, teas, hot chocolate and cider. (tfn) Weight control The Summit County Health Department is offering a 10-week 10-week weight-controlbehavior modification class Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. beginning March 1. Classes will include in-clude dieting, behavior eating changes and exercises. Beginning Begin-ning and ending blood pressure and skin fold thickness measurements will be done.
