Show Citizen, Preu, Review . WmL, May , 1996 Pag 13 10 Marjorie M. McBride Maijorie MoniUh McBride, 93, died May 23, 1996 in Salt Lake City. She wu born April 6, 1903 in Mt. Pleaiant, a daughter of Horace Perham and Mary Ann Ivy Allied Hardy. She married Arley Roy Clark June 20, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Dec. 28, 1949. She married Arthur McBride and they were later divorced. She wai a homemaker and had lived in Lehi and Salt Lake City. Saylor C. Jeppson Saylor Call Jeppson, 64, died May 26, 1996 in a Salt Lake City hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He wai born Aug. 17, 1931 in Dillon, Mont., a son of Jay Carl and Zola Call Jeppson. He worked for the FFA in the Salt Lake Center for 35 years. He was a 20 year member of the Mormon Tabernacle' Choir. Along with his wife, he served a mission for the LDS Church in the New York, New York Mission, where they served on Bermuda Island and in New York City. He was a U.S. Navy Midshipman in Annapolis and a pilot in the US. Air Force. He ii survived by his wife, Cleo Wagstaff Jeppson, Bountiful; children: chil-dren: Gary Jeppson, Sandy; Pamela Rasmussen, Bountiful; Ten Lynn Jones, Saratoga, Calif; Peck thank you Until we can thank all of our friends and family personally, may we take this means of extending our deep appreciation for the many kindnesses shown in our recent sorrow at the death of our mother and grandmother, Fay Beck Peck. . She is survived by a daughter, Connie (Neil) Kalm, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren: Gary (Kathy) Roach, John Macke, Bryan (Carolyn) Macke, and Lisa (Peter) Woodruff; a brother, Elmo (Ila) Hardy, Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister, Edith (Lloyd) Christensen, Caldwell, Idaho. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carina Roach. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 2 p.m. in the Lehi City Cemetery under the direction of Wing Mortuary. Thursday, May 30, at noon in the Bountiful Woodland Hills Ward Chapel, 640 S. 750 East. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary Chapel, 295 N. Main, and Thursday at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in ' the Bountiful City Cemetery. Edwards Robert Dean Edwards waa born Aug. 13, 1923 in Edwardsport, Ind., to Lawrence and Ann Jones Edwards. He married Rhea Curzon on March 29, 1944 in Provo. Bob was a veteran of World War II. He was a long distance truck driver . . for many years and nicknamed himself "Route 66." He was active in the Masonic Story Lodge and helped many children chil-dren with birth defects get help from the Shriner's Hospital. . Roy W. Oscarson Roy Wilhelm Oscarson returned to his Heavenly Home on May 10, 1996 in St Louis, Mo. He was born March 30, 1909. . in Pleasant Grove to Gustaf Emil and Louisa (Minnie) Okerlind Oscarson. Roy attended attend-ed schools in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1927. He served an LDS mission in Sweden from 1928 to 1930. He married his high school sweetheart,' Vera Brown, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 13, 1931. , Roy began bis employment with Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., in August 1932 and remained in their employ for nearly 43 years, when he retired from business life. After working, for 11 years in several positions and cities, he was . made general sales manager of the company and transferred to St. Louis, Mo., and was later named Senior Executive Vice President. He enjoyed working with the Jaycees and Good Sam's Club. He is survived by his wife, Rhea, American Fork; children: Jerry (Sandy) Edwards, Pamela Baldwin, Jody (Calvin) Houghton, all of American Fork; Patricia (William) Callahan, Orem; a sister, Mary Radnor, Pleasant Grove; brother, Lethal Edwards, Ohio; 16 grandchildren. . He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Bruce; and a sister, Dorothy. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 25, in the Anderson ac Sons Mortuary. Burial was in the American Fork Cemetery with military rites by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, District Four. He was the Swedish Consul for the Swedish government in the St Louis area, ' Roy continued faithful and active in the LDS Church and held many positions of responsibility, for which he was loved and ' admired. He served as Stake President, Regional Representative, Mission President and Patriarch. He served as chairman chair-man of the ground breaking committee com-mittee for the St. Louis LDS Temple. Roy and Vera were parents of five children: R. Don (Shirley) Oscarson, Fox Point, Wise.; Grant Richard (Linda) Oscarson, Chesterfield, .' Mo.; Bonnie Lee (Tom) Wehrmeister, Bollwin, Mo.; and Paul K. (Bonnie) Oscarson, . Spring, Texas. . He is survived by his wife and children, 26 grandchildren and one brother Robert A. Oscarson, one sister, Dora O. Hales, both of Pleasant Grove; many nieces and nephews who honor his name. He was preceded in death by bis parents par-ents and eight brothers and sisters. sis-ters.
