The couple will exchange -vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Monday, June 3. A garden reception will honor the newlyweda that same evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Leon Deitlaf residence, 94 1 E. 830 South, Pleasant Grove. Carl W. Ringger will celebrate 80th birthday by keeping busy; The children of Carl W Ringger are pleased to announce the celebration of his 80th birthday. Carl waa born June 5, 1916 in Zurich, Switzerland to Carl and Maria Reif Ringger. He was the oldest of 11 children. He and his companion, Elsie, have been married 55 years. They were married July 24, 1941 in Zurich and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on Jan. 19, 1951. They are the parents of six children, 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Carl moved his young family to the United States in 1950 and in 1951 began employment with Geneva Steel, working 29 years before retiring in 1979. A citizen of PleasantGrove for the past 45 years, he served on the Strawberry Days Committee for six years, including one year as chairman of that Mack and Irene Ostergaard to ceieorate goiaen weaamg Mack R. .and Irene W. Ostergaard will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 29. A family dinner was hosted by their children on May 24. Mack and Irene were married on May 29, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have resided in London all their married life. They have both been active in the LDS phu,servinguimanyleaderhjD Capacities. They served a mission in Harrisburg, Perm. Mack served in the Air Force in World War II. He has retired from Geneva Steel and Ostergaard Construction. He enjoys BYU sports and loves to go fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Irene retired as an office manager for Central Utah Orthopedic Surgery. She worked for Utah Valley Hospital and was on the governing board for Orem Community Hospital. Together they enjoy running a small greenhouse business and being with their family. They are the parents of five Student graduates from UVSC Asjnoyer Chris Bjarnson, 16-year-eld son of Eric and Dianne Bjarnaoa of Pleasant Grove, graduated with honors from UVSC at the end of April. He received an Associate of Science degree. Annoyer is on the UVSC ballroom dance tour team. He had received several awards for his ballroom dancing. She is employed as a medical assistant at the American Fork Clinic. The prospective groom is a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. He is employed at Parts Unlimited in Pleasant Grove. A devoted member of the LDS Church, Carl has served in numerous positions including bishop of the Pleasant Grove 3rd Ward from 1964 to 1970, counselor in ' the Timpanogos Stake Presidency from 1970 to 1977, and as a temple sealer since 1979. Beginning in February, 1982, . Carl and his wife served as missionaries in the Swiss Temple until June of 1984 when they were called as president and matron of that temple. Upon their release in 1988, they returned home and subsequently served an 18-month family history mission in Frankfurt, Germany from 1991 to 1992. He continues to be active and involved with his hobbies and currently serves as a branch president at the LDS Missionary Training Center in Provo. If Irene and Mack Ostergaard children: Laurel O. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. She requests no gifts, please. Lydia was born May 29, 1916 in American Fork to Alma J. and Luella Olsen. She graduated from American Fork High School in 1934. She married Wendell Kirkpatrick in 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They are the parents' of three sons: Paul (Karen), Lehi; Bill (Margo), Alpine; and Bob (Nan), American Fork. There are now eight grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. V Wendell died in 1992 and she married Floyd Hallsey in 1993. Next to her family, Lydia has devoted her life to music. She started her "public career while still in high school where she accompanied several groups on the piano and provided musical support for dance teachers. During her life she has been the pianist for a host of dance bands. She was the pianist for the Alpine Stake Chorus for many years. She j served as organist at the Prove Temple for 14 years.
