Mark Flake Rogers sustained as bishop Mark Fla ie Rogers was sustained sus-tained as bishop of the newly organized or-ganized Lindon Ninth Ward Sunday. Sun-day. Portions of the Lindon Fourth and Seventh Wards make up the new ward. Also sustained were Kenneth Roger Dean as first counselor, Wayne Steven DeVincent as second sec-ond counselor, and James Edward Marshburn as Ward Clerk. Bishop Rogers has previously served in two bishoprics, high council, coun-cil, Elders Quorum President, and Young Men's President. He received his Duty to God and Eagle Scout Awards. He served a mission in Argentina Argen-tina South, graduated from BYU and from Podiatric School of Medicine Medi-cine in Chicago. He practices Podiatry-Foot Surgery Sur-gery in American Fork. Ellington has arrived for duty at Dugway Proving Prov-ing Ground, Utah. He is a counterintelligence agent with Headquarters, Support Troops. Ellington is the son of Martin C. and Ada L. Mark's favorite activity is playing with is children. Kenneth Dean has served as Elders Quorum President in two different wards, in a bishopric, high council, and in the Young Men's program. He served in the Iowa DesMoines Mission and obtained a Business Management Degree from the University of Phoenix here in Utah. He works for WordPerfect in Orem. He and his wife, Marsha, have three daughters. Kenneth enjoys his family, hunting, and sports. Wayne DeVincent served as Executive Secretary in the Lindon Fourth Ward, as Ward Clerk, Scout Master, and in an Elders Quorum Presidency. He attained the rank of first mate in Sea Scouting, and served in the Argentina North Mission. The family, relatives, neighbors and friends of Don and Belva Kitchen Chamberlain honored them with a gala combined surprise birthday and golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday, April 24, at the Cedar Valley Cultural Hall. The couple was married June 3, 1940 in Tridell, Uintah County. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. ' They have lived in Cedar Valley all their married Mves.: Don v. as born Dec. 3, 19 17. He is an accomplished carpenter, an avid farmer and miner, a lover of precious pre-cious minerals found in the earth. Belva was born April 25, 1920 in Tridell, Uintah County. He filled a mission in Colombia Bogota. After his mission he married Marta DeJesus Gonzalez from Colombia. He attended BYU and is now a programmer at WordPerfect. He and his wife have one boy and one girl. He loves playing with his children and computers. Woodworking Wood-working is one of his hobbies. The new ward boundaries are: East of the canal; Second South, east of the canal; both sides of 835 East; the south side of 400 North. They are the parents of six children, chil-dren, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Many cub scouts and scout troops from the P.GTLindon area also helped by volunteering as work crews. The Pleasant Grove Kiwa-nis Kiwa-nis Club provided the greatly appreciated ap-preciated refreshments for the project. The overall turnout for the project proj-ect was approximately one hundred boys and leaders. The scouts cleaned the canyon road from Cedar Hills entrance to the north of the canyon and the Geneva Road from Highway 89 to the pipe plant entrance.
