The American Fork Cavemen administered a 73-60 setback to the Pleasant Grove Vikings last Fridav night in the local nigh school gym. It was the Region Four league opener for both teams. Most fans would agree that the spread in points was due to the fact that American Fork was "hot" and Pleasant Grove was "cool" at the foul line to say the least Each team scored scor-ed 28 two pointers from the field. From the line the Cavemen tanked 17 out of 24 for 71 per cent The Vikings average only 28 per cent with 4 out of 14. The Cavemen led all the way, finishing the succeeding periods with advantages of 7, 10, 18 and 13 points, respectively. respect-ively. Both coaches substituted freely before the game ended, each employing the services of 10 men. In other Region Four league games played Friday night, BYH surprised everyone by lambasting Lehi 80-53; Provo beat Springville, 6055; Orem bested Carbon 47-42 and Spanish Span-ish Fork topped Payson 6443. The second round, all played Wednesday, Dec. 23, sent Pay-son Pay-son to Springville, Provo to Carbon, Spanish Fork to American Amer-ican Fork, Lehi to Orem and Pleasant Grove to BY High.
