These books will not be circulated, but will be available at the librarian's desk for use in the library. The meeting was held at the home of Vivian H. Evans on Locust Avenue, with Vice Captain Capt-ain Lacy 0. White in charge. A biography of Ann Leaver Mus-ser Mus-ser was read by her granddaughter, grand-daughter, Edith S. Madsen. Estelle Fenton presented the lesson "That They May Live Again," stories of early Utah pioneers. Refreshments appropriate to the Chistmas season were served ser-ved by Mrs. Evans and co-hostess co-hostess Ellen J. Hebertson. Others present were Cora 0. Bezzant, Chloe H. O Utah Quarter Horse Assnv Formed by Group At a meeting held recently at Spanish Fork, a Utah Quarter Quar-ter Horse Association was formed form-ed and will function under the leadership of Larry McMullin, president, Re Russell, vice pres ident and a board of directors, consisting of ten members. The purpose of the organization, organi-zation, according to Kenneth R. Gillman, publicity chairman, is to promote the breeding, upgrading, up-grading, sales, shows and racing rac-ing of quarter horses through-' out the state of Utah. For administration and promotion pro-motion purposes the state was divided into five areas as follows: fol-lows: 1. Northern area Davis County and areas north. 2. Central area Salt Lake, Utah and Tooele counties. 3. Southern area Counties south of Utah County, west of the Wasatch Range. 1 Northeastern area Wasatch Was-atch County and Uintah Basin. 5. Eastern area All counties coun-ties east of Wasatch Range and north of Uintah Basin. Directors elected were as follows: fol-lows: 1. Northern Area Mac Wade and Jene Wixon. 2.
