Bishop Ringger will also give timely and inspirational remarks. re-marks. Sister Judd, a daughter of Mrs. Lila Judd, is a 1961 graduate grad-uate of Pleasant Grove High School and four-year Seminary. While in high school she was active in the Pep Club and choral organizations. Following high school, she trained as a beautician and as a dental assistant She has followed fol-lowed the latter vocation in Provo. For the church, she has served ser-ved as a teacher in the Prim--ary and Sunday School. Sister Judd has accepted a call to labor In the North Cen-tral Cen-tral States LDS Mission, with headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She will enter the jSalt Lake Mission Home Jan.-11. Jan.-11. .and expects to leave for Tllinheapolis one week later. Speakers at the testimonial will be Dr. R. M. Rupper, Grant Fugal and Ira M. Judd. Sister Judd's mother will talk briefly and she will respond. As a special musical number, num-ber, Laura Mae Rawlings will play an accordion solo. Bishop Gerald Belliston of the Fourth Ward will preside and give remarks of counsel and encouragement en-couragement Elder Wright has accepted a call to labor in the New Zealand Zea-land South LDS Mission, with headquarters in Wellington, New Zealand. He will enter the Salt Lake City Mission Home Jan. 4 and expects to leave for Wellington by air, on January 12. He is a 1962 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School and ' the four-year Seminary program. While in high school he was prominent in athletics, and was an American Legion Boys Stater. . : Following secondary school, he attended Snow College, where was a member of the ICAC championship football team. He graduated from Snow with an Associate of Science Certificate. He has always been .active in the church,, w r . Fourteen of them received prime Christmas turkeys at the first of two draw-ings draw-ings held at 4 p.m. in front of the city hall on Main Street The other 24 of the lucky ones received either a $5.00 or a $3.00 cash certificate, expendable for goods or services at any of the Lions Club, Grove theatre to Get Glasses for Needy Jess Monson, chairman of the Pleasant Grove Lions Club Projects Committee, announc-' ed today that Grove Theatre and lions Club are cooperating in an effort to provide funds with which to buy eyeglasses for the children of the community com-munity who need them. The Lions Club will keep 50 per cent of the proceeds from the tickets they sell to the situation situ-ation comedy, "Kisses for My President" which will be presented pre-sented at the Grove Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 31, Friday and Saturday, Jan. 1 and 2. The feature stars Fred MacMurray and Polly Bergen and is a story about the first U.S, woman president Evening performances begin be-gin at 7:15 and 9:30 p.m. and there will be a matinee at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2. Adult tickets, seventh graders and older, will be 75 cents, with children's tickets costing 25 cents. Tickets obtained at the box office do not count towards to-wards the plan. GLEN NIELSON Local Scouter Gets Scouters Key at Ceremonies Hero ,- Glen Nielson; a scouter for the past 17 years, was awarded the official Scouters Key at private pri-vate ceremonies held recently. Active in the Timpanogos District Boy Scouts of America Ameri-ca for nearly two decades, Mr. Nielson has served as Neighborhood Neigh-borhood Commissioner, Pack . Committee chairman, Troop Committee chairman, Explorer Adviser, Age Group Counselor and Scoutmaster. Construe tion is expected to begin during 1965, the report said. , The site, located in the south , and east part of the city, contains con-tains 8 acres at Loader Drive and Orchard Drive. The purchase pur-chase price was $15,000 excluding exclud-ing the cost -of the 8 shares of irrigation water, which can be sold. . ' i Post Office Closed Saturday, Says Postmaster Mills Postmaster General John A. Gronouski has sent word to all Postmasters that on Dec. 28, the Post Office will be closed. Mail deposited in the office -will be dispatched as usual. There will be no city delivery on Saturday, however, there will be delivery on the Rural Route. Fordham and members of the Pleasant Grove City Council closed out business for 1964 at a regular meeting held Monday night in the city hauV - ; Councilman Paul Adamson was authorized to have city workmen spread gravel around the Jaycees Community Club , House at the city ball park. Councilman Reed O., Walker called attention to the need of topping a number of trees at the city park. Mr. Adamson was authorized to have city workmen proceed at once with the project The council discussed the matter of requiring all fulltime city employees to retire at 65 years. Councilman Reed O.
