Children and adults gathered on the beautiful museum grounds to listen lis-ten and learn from local artist Kjirstin Rasmussen Youngberg and the dually talented artist and singer, Wes Wright. Following Youngberg's presentation, Wright delighted de-lighted audiences with two numbers, one of which was a soulful rendition of Neil Diamond's "You Got to Me." The overlays were' used to illustrate the effects ef-fects a camera lens would have on a finished picture; a colored overlay produced a strikingly different view than a clear overlay would have. Following the program visitors enjoyed the fabulous fabu-lous array of color, texture, tex-ture, pattern and imagination imagina-tion displayed in the 35th Annual Quilt Show. This ever popular exhibit will be ondisplay on the main and lower levels of the museum mu-seum through September 2nd. Community & Family Night is an enjoyable way for community members to learn about and appreciate appreci-ate all genres of art, from wood carving to cloggers. This free event is held the first Monday of every month except holidays, at 6 p.m. ' The next Community & Family night will be held on October 1, with Jenny and Brian Allred as the guest entertainers. Utah Valley State College Col-lege Career Services & Student Employment (CSSE) will host the Part-Time Part-Time Jobs Fair August 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Hall of Flags and Physical Education Building Concourse. Con-course. "The fair will be a great benefit to the students because they can talk to employers and third party par-ty recruiters," said Gary Gardner, counselor and manager for CSSE. "It also builds a relationship with employers in the community com-munity and gives them an opportunity to look at the caliber of students UVSC has to offer." More than 50 employers from a variety of different differ-ent fields will be at the fair looking mostly for part-time part-time employees, but some will also discuss full-time positions.
