Show 14 Betty Mae Hamilton Betty Mae Hamilton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, returned to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007 in Springville, Utah, surrounded by her loved ones. . Betty was born November Novem-ber 8, 1935 in Austin, Texas, Tex-as, where she grew up next to and married her childhood child-hood sweetheart George K. (Scorty) Hamilton in 1954. After working for over 20 years, Betty chose to focus on her family and become a full-time homemaker. Among Betty's greatest contributions were her willingness will-ingness to serve, her end-. end-. less energy, and her love of life. All who knew her were drawn to these qualities quali-ties as she willingly gave of her time and talents at any opportunity. Through the years, she supported her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors, often of-ten being the number one fan at any event her family participated in. PROVO SPRINGVILLE HERALD Helen Fox Sanford Helen Fox Sanford of St. George, Utah, passed away quietly in her sleep on August Au-gust 4, 2007 at the age of 96. Born in Springville on June 29, 1911, as the oldest child of John Alfred Fox and Margaret Chloe Boy-er. Boy-er. She grew up with eight brothers and sisters, all working together on the family farm. She graduated gradu-ated from Springville High School, where she was active in musical performances perfor-mances and operettas. Helen married Charles Mack Sanford, also from Springville, on June 20, 1934 in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. They lived first in Springville, then lived briefly in Salt Lake City and Layton then in El Paso, Texas, before settling in San Bernardino, California, Califor-nia, where they lived from 1942 to 1974 and raised their family of six children. After retirement they returned re-turned to Utah and lived in LaVerkin. Mack preceded her in death on April 24, 1987. Helen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings in Primary and Relief Society. She loved to sing and was always involved with leading the music and singing in the choir. She and her husband served in the St. George Temple. In her later days, Helen did family history extraction work until she was almost 90. She worked in a dental office for 15 years. She was a member of the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Utah Pioneers for many years and served in many leadership positions posi-tions in that organization. Helen was an excellent cook, loved to do sewing and hand work projects , and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a hard worker as evidenced by her beautiful flower gardens. She took great pride in her home and in her family. Surviving family include her six children, Elise (La-Mar) (La-Mar) Evans of Washington, Washing-ton, UT, Allan (Janetta) Sanford of El Dorado, CA, Clyde (Patricia) Sanford of Bremerton, WA, John (Hollie) Sanford of Bland-ing, Bland-ing, UT, Susan Farrelly of Portland, OR, and Judy (Rodney) Postnikoff of Highland, CA; 26 grandchildren; grand-children; 67 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann (Edward) Forshee of Washington, UT, Lula (Lynn) Anderson Ander-son of Weiser, ID and Do-reene Do-reene (Ron) Schouten of St. George, UT; a brother, broth-er, Merlin (Jean) Fox of Springville, UT; and a sister-in-law, Joan Fox of Springville, UT.
