Mapleton citizens cemetery meeting tonight Question: Where would Mapleton locate a cemetery? cem-etery? Answer: Where would citizens want a cemetery? A number of citizens in Mapleton have asked about having a cemetery in the city. The Mapleton City Council Coun-cil would like input from people in the community concerning that possibility, possibil-ity, and has suggested a citizen's committee to look into all aspects of having a Mapleton Cemetery. There will be a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Mapleton Maple-ton City Council room at the City Center building to ask for volunteers to serve on one of four committees for research and planning: a site committee, design committee, landscaping committee and financial committee. Larry Haines, a longtime Mapleton resident and former for-mer city councilman has been appointed chairman of the Citizen's Cemetery Committee.
