Show Gymnastics Jill Smith An exciting and new Gymnastics Program has been in operation at Park-Ro-She since January under the direction of former BYU and Western Athletic Conference standout, Jay Smith. Park-Ro-She Gymnastics starts with the basics and with a lot of individual attention the students work to develop basic skills and positions. Classes are limited to 8 students per instructor for ages six and up and 6 students per instructor for ages four and five. With these small class ratios there is a better opportunity to develop good basic skills. A gymnast with good basics can progress more rapidly on a high skill level. Two practice sessions a month are offered for the students to use the gym in practicing skills they have learned. This is a time set up for them to try and try again through repetition to develop and perfect the skills they have learned in class. Jay Smith is a national level gymnast with eight years coaching experience in gyms Clea Satisfaction Clea Curtis I'm always tired when I get off work. I have arthritis ar-thritis in my back, and being on my feet all day really wears me out. As soon as I get off work I like to head down to the Park-Ro-She Family Fitness Center. I just love the whirlpool, it takes all the aches out of my back. I was one of the first to join the Family Fitness Center, and I lost 16 pounts right away. They put you on a regular exercise program, and let you go at your own speed. I don't like to be pushed. I ride the stationary bicycle about three miles, and do a lot of thigh and waist exercises. Curtis Guaranteed I keep coming back because it's a lot of fun to work out with the other women. It's so hard to workout at home because of the many distractions, and because it's so easy to let up when you're exercising alone. At the Family Fitness Center it's easy and fun to work out because you're with others doing the same thing. It's easy to to maintain a regular schedule, and that's the only way to get results. I feel so good when I'm working out. We might glance at our spindly bicep, look at Arnolds 22 inches of steel, and abandon all hope of the sought after shapely body. One things for sure, Arnold and Franco had to begin somewhere and although as saplings they may have had an edge on many of us, there must be more to their success than just growing. And indeed there is as these quotes from the muscle world's greatest champions cham-pions reveal: From Franco Columbo's book Winning Bodybuilding: A lot of the guys in my gym are already working out when I arrive and are still in the gym when I leave. But they're not training any harder: their Build a Better Body Rex Parry In January of 1979, the Park-Ro-She Health Spa began a new and dynamic Body Building Club for men sixteen and older. Since then, the club has made significant strides Youth Menu workouts simply take longer, because of extraneous ex-traneous activity. I believe that a strong body, trained properly, has enough energy to train hard for two hours and no longer. The only secret I can share with you concerning the effectiveness ef-fectiveness of my training is CONCENTRATION, (p. 112)... Concentrate. Bodybuilding is most definitely a mental as well as physical achievement. In summery, perhaps the real secret to those who succeed lies in how "up" we are to really work hard, how professionally we approach ap-proach bettering our physical bodies... whether we just go through the motions to say we've worked out or think ourselves into something really special when body and mind are in harmony and the pump of the blood feels special and powerful and rich.. .as it surges through the muscles.. .this is the real joy of bodybuilding and awaits anyone willing to think before he pumps. and gains in club attendance, at-tendance, muscle tone and muscle weight gains.
