Show Steven Mann, Charlotte Ann Stubbs Mann-Stubbs nuptials today in LDS temple Former Springville residents Mr. and Mrs. Edward 0. Mann are announcing the marriage of their son, , Steven Wayne Mann, and Charlotte Ann Stubbs today, February 15, in the St. George LDS Temple. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Stubbs, Parowan, who will host a reception in their honor tonight from 7 to 9 at Parowan High School Student Commons, 168 N. Main, Parowan. An open house will further fete the newlyweds on February 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Crestwood Villa, 6505 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. The bride-elect graduated from Parowan High School where she was in Madrigals and was a cheerleader for four years. She is listed in Who's Who' in American Music and is now employed as a dental assistant in Cedar City. Mr, Mann is a Springville High School graduate of 1974, was enrolled at BYU for two years and served a mission in Mexico. While at Springville High, he was a member of the A cappella choir, Hi's and Guys and was listed in Who's Who in American High School Students. He is now attending Southern Utah State College where he is majoring in anthropology, a member of Tau Beta Sigma Fraternity, and a member of the Society of American Archeologists. Spring Creek DUP meets Camp Spring Creek DUP held its meeting Thursday at the home of Anna Berry. Second vice captain Violet Diamond took charge. Music was led by Josephine Conover. History of Charles Young Webb was given by Jetta Webb. Hafen of St. George, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Michelle Rogers to Michael C. North, son of Mr. and. Mrs. Calvin M. North of Spingville, on February 16, in the St. George LDS Temple. Michelle is a 1976 high honor graduate from Dixie High School and a 1978 high honor graduate from Dixie College. While in school Michelle was active in Rebelettes and Lamba Delta Sigma. She was employed em-ployed at Dixie State Bank. She has been attending school at BYU this past semester. Michael graduated from Springville High in 1974 where he was active in sports. He served an LDS Mission to the Quebec-Montreal Mission. Mike is a 1978 graduate of Dixie College where he served as sophomore class president and elders quorum president of his college ward. The newlyweds plan to make their home in Salt Lake where they will continue their education at the University of Utah in business. There will be a reception held in their honor Friday, February 16, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the St. George :?rd -14th Ward Chapel, 200 West 500 North. An open house will be held in Springville on February 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the 1st - 12th Ward Chapel, 840 South 400 East. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend. Michael North, Officers elected by homemakers Springville Chapter of Young Homemakers have elected Janine Murdock as president for the coming year. Serving with her will be Kathy Carter, vice-president, vice-president, Judi Nielson, secretary; Marlene Sheppard, repoYter; Diane Asay, historian, Teri Averett, treasurer. The Utah Young Homemaker program is affiliated with the Vocational Division of the State Board of Education. The group meets each month, with speakers invited to talk about areas of interest, including child development , home management, cooking, etc. The state convention will be held February 16 at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City, according to chapter officals. Ray Hales celebrated his ninetieth birthday with family members at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Aileen H. and Hal M. Clyde last week. He was a city councilman and mayor of Spanish Fork. He served in the stake presidency in Spanish Fork and as a bishop in Springville. Until retirement he was a farmer and cattleman. He is a long time member of the Kiawanis Club. He and his wife the former M. Lesly Grooms, have lived in Springville since 1941. Their children are Aileen H. Clyde and Dr. George G. Hales. Two sons Dr. Delbert R. Hales, and Howard J. Hales are deceased. Casey Taylor celebrates his birthday today, February 15, when he turns one year old. His parents are Kendall and Sandra Taylor.
