He is being presented the trophy by the queen of the event. The outstanding horse strain goes back to Man O' War and Paco Bueno. He is a leading high point yearling stallion. Main "22 Years in Springville" Birthday party held at Walker's Two events were celebrated at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul K. Walker Saturday evening when family members gathered for a dinner in honor of Mr. Walker's 75th birthday. The event was to welcome home their son Lynn and Nedra Whitney Walker and family from Burghausen, Germany where they have lived for the past four years. Visiting and games were enjoyed and reminiscing by the following family members: Mr. and Mrs. John (Analee) Strong and family, Douglas Ernest, Eric and daughter Marina and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Strong and son David; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad (Elizabeth) Stone and family, Pamela, Sandra, Janes, and Joe of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tervort, Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Walker and family, Teresa, Linda, and Brent and the guest of honor and Mrs. Walker. Mr. Walker's birthday was July 19. Heber Johnson Lions, Lady Lions install at steak supper at fireplace in Kelly's CriLCt orner Girl July 20 to Thomas and Julia Ann Sheldon Cameron at the Utah Valley Hospital. Boy July 17 to Russell and Carol Greenhalgh McKenzie at Louisville, Kentucky. The new arrival has two sisters. Grandparents Grand-parents here are Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Greenhalgh and Mr. and Mrs. Leland S. McKenzie. W. Heber Johnson was installed in-stalled as Lion president for the coming year at a dinner meeting held recently at the Lions Fireplace in Kelly's Grove under the direction of the Board of Directors who cooked and served a delicious steak dinner. Also installed during the evening was Clara Johnson, president of the Lady Lions and wife of Mr. Johnson. District Governor 0. Maron Oveson of Pleasant Grove spoke and installed the new officers. He also thanked the Springville Club for their attendance and support at the International Convention held recently in Las Vegas, Nevada. Installed as vice-president-president elect was Wayne Cutler. Retiring president is Eugene Palfreyman with Mrs. Wayne Cutler retiring Lady Lion "president. Other officers include Robert E. White, 2nd vice president; Charles N. Commander Dan Alleman was in charge and during a short business meeting, introduced newly elected Department of Utah Auxiliary President Marie Mason. She reported on her recent trip to the Presidents Conference in Kansas City, Kansas. The group also heard reports on the recent state convention which was held here in June, and on the wheelchair project which will be completed soon. Approximately 30 people were in attendance. Reed Hyer, of Quincy, Washington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Marilyn Clegg) Hyer, is staying with an aunt and uncle, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Miner and family here. if 7 r IM't OM" The family of Mrs. Annie Creer of Lake Shore met Sunday evening at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Glade Creer in Springville for a dinner party and visiting. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Brent Creer and family of Mountain View, California. Others present were: Jay Creer and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Creer and childen of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Creer and children of Farmington, Mr, and Mrs. Robert Creer and children and. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Creer or Provo and Mrs. Annie Creer. Robert Q. Strong, right, postmaster at Provo and who is over Springville, Spanish Fork and Provo offices, gave an informative in-formative talk on the postal system to Kiwanis members and their wives at Kelly's Grove last Thursday night. Clarence L. Jensen, a retired postal worker and member of the Kiwanis Club, was toastmaster for the event. Tonight's meeting will be at the grove at 7 p.m. and will feature a talk by Michael Clyde.
