Another crew, working in San Pete county, is engaged in Hop creek fence work. CCC workers from the Rock canyon camp are working the road down towards the old CCC camp in Hobble creek canyon. Surfacing Sur-facing and widening are raising the standard of the road. Another local group is raising dikes and clearing debris brought down last spring in Little Rock canyon. Road and camp ground work is also going on in Rock canj'on. Pioneer Honored On Anniversary SPRINGVILLE Mrs. Louisa Giles Bulkley, pioneer resident of this city and widow of Samuel Bulkley, Black Hawk Indian war veteran, celebrated her eighty-second eighty-second birthday Thursday. She was especially honored at a conjoint con-joint meeting of the Springville camps of D. U. P. in the afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Bulkley was born in Up-perweild Up-perweild Hampshire, England, December De-cember 10, 1854. She came to Utah in 1867, crossing the plains in the last ox team company to arrive in Utah. She has made her j home in Springville since. She was married to Mr. Bulkley, in ville sence. She was married to the endowment house. Salt Lake City. March 4, 1872. Mr. Bulkley died in 1932. Mr. Bulkley has always al-ways been active in L.D.S. church work. She is the mother of seven children. Springville Calls Hearing On Budget SPRINGVILLE: A public hearing hear-ing on Springville's city budget for 1937, will be held Monday, December 21. at the city hall. The tentative budget as outlined at present calls for a total expenditure expendi-ture of $72,372 as compared to $71,382 for the preceding year.
