Floyd Needles Needles celebrates 80 years Floyd Needles was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., on July 27, 1928. He became a resident ofVernal as a young boy in 1940 and has watched Vernal grow ever since. He married Rita Massey Needles in 1948 and raised three children in the Valley. Floyd opened City Body Shop in 1958 which serviced the valley for 40 years with wreckers that ran throughout northeastern Utah, western Colorado and southern Wyoming. He enjoyed his work and has made many friends though business associations. Floyd has always loved the mountains surrounding the Valley Val-ley and spends his free time fly fishing, hunting or just making a cup of cowboy coffee enjoying the view.
