Show NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH THE UINTAH FIRE SUPPRESSION SPECIAL SERVICE DISTRICT NOTICE IF HEREBY GIVEN that on 19th day of June, 2006, the Board of County Commissioners of Uintah County, Utah, adopted , a resolution declaring that the public pub-lic health, convenience and necessity requires the establishment of the Uintah Fire Suppression Special Services District ( District). The Resolution also provides that a public pub-lic hearing be held on the establishment of said District be held in the Commission Chambers, StateCounty Building, 152 East 100 North, Vernal, Utah at ll;00a.m. on the31ast day of July, 2006. BOUNDARIES The boundaries of the proposed District are defined as all those lands within Uintah County, Utah, more particularly described in Resolution 06-19- 06 Rl adopted by of the Uintah County Commission SERVICES The District proposed to be established would be for the purpose of providing pro-viding for the suppression of fire and emergency response to natural and man made disasters within with-in Uintah County, as well as for the enforcement of Federal, State, County and Municipal laws and ordinances concerning those areas of public safety safe-ty in the County. FINANCING The District shall finance the above defined services, among other ways, through the receipt of Mineral Lease Payments as provided in Chapter 21, Title 50, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended. The District will not set a mill levy for taxes in Uintah County. PUBLIC HEARINGS A - Publid ' Hearing ; ' oh the questions of establishment estab-lishment of the District shall be held by the Board of Uintah County Commissioners in the Commission Chambers, StateCounty Building, 152 East 100 North, Vernal, Utah at 11:00 a.m. on the 31st day of July, 2006, at which time and place all interested parties may appear and be heard either in support of or in opposition of the establishment estab-lishment of the District. Any interested person may protest the establishment estab-lishment of the District by filing a signed written protest with the County Clerk of Uintah County at or before the 14th day of July 2006. Any withdrawal with-drawal of the protest or cancellation withdrawal shall be done at or before the scheduled meeting. Any protest signed on behalf of a corporation corpora-tion owning property in the District shall be sufficient suf-ficient if signed by the president, Vice president, or any duly authorized agent of the corporation. Where title to any property prop-erty is held in the name of more than one person, all of the persons holding title to the property must join in the signing of the protest. At. said public meeting hearing, or at any subsequent time to which the hearing may be adjourned, the Board of County Commissioners will give full consideration consider-ation to all protests that have been filed and will hear all interested persons per-sons desiring to be heard. The Board of County Commissioners shall eliminate from the proposed pro-posed establishment of the District any property originally included in the proposal that it determines deter-mines will not be benefitted ben-efitted by the proposed District. Following the hearing, hear-ing, the Board of County Commissioners shall adopt a resolution either establishing the District or determining that the District should not be established.
