Show A1 2 Wednesday, October 6, 2004 Vernal Express Deadline nears for voters to register Mike Wilkins, Uintah County clerkauditor, said the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming upcom-ing election is Oct. 25. To be eligible to register, voters vot-ers must establish residency in Utah as of Oct. 3. The law requires 30 days of residency in the state prior to the election, which will be held Nov. 2. Registration can be accomplished accom-plished by mail up until Oct. 1 3. It can be done in person any lime before or after Oct. 13 up until the deadline of 8 p.m., Oct. 25. The ClerkAuditor's office is located on the second floor of the state and county building at 147 I;. Main Street in Vernal. Two das have been set aside as "satellite registration" days. The ClerkAuditor's office will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. both days. Oct. 22 and Oct. 25 for convenient registration. Absentee voting can also be done those days. Absentee ballots are available by mail from the ClerkAuditors office until Oct. 18. Mail a request to ClerkAuditor, 147 I-. Main, Vernal. UT, 84078.
