It is a one and a half story Victorian home built of soft brick. Manfred Martin was a prominent local physician and Ethel Martin operated an art store and was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club. The Curry home at 189 South Vernal Avenue is a large two story brick building described as a "T-plan" house. The Curry family lived their for many years until the home was sold in 1962. Eventually it came under the ownership of a fine chef who has turned it into an excellent dining facility named Cjirry Manor. Going north on Vernal Avenue, ttie CollettFrancke home stands at 197 East 100 North Vernal Avenue. The site was originally a land grant to Teancutn Russell Kempton who convey it to Reuben Samuel Collett in 1895. The home is a Victorian eclecticQueen Anne style house built in 1896. Eventually the home passed into the hands of the Francke family. At 226 West Main Street stands St. Paul's Episcopal "Church, built in 1901. A major centennial celebration is being held by the current pastor. Rev. Barbara Smith this summer. Going to 290 West 100 South, find the WorkmanColton home, constructed in the 1 890s.
