Walker Walker earns Eagle Scout Blake Kammon Walker, son of Loren and Diane Walker, received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor on Saturday, April 27. He is a member of Troop 231 under the leadership of Brent Feltch. Walker completed his Eagle service ser-vice project, organized and directed clean-up of Iron Springs campground. camp-ground. This included painting picnic pic-nic tables, and clear area of trash and debris. He supervised 13 other scouts at troop 231. Hobbies and interests include football, basketball, fishing and camping. - 1 1! s Remington Roberts Roberts earns Arrow of Light Remington Roberts, son of Wayne and Robin Roberts, received his Arrow of Light Award during pack meeting April 30. He is a member of Troop 931 of the Vernal Christian Church under the leadership leader-ship of Daryl Snider. Roberts enjoys scouting, camping, camp-ing, fishing, hunting, including hunting for shed antlers, 4-whcel-ing, and drawing wildlife. He says his goal is to earn his Eagle rank before he turns 16. Murray is a member of Troop 240 under the leadership of Woody Critton. Murray is active in basketball, baseball, football, bowling, hunting, fishing and horseback riding. He collects sports cards and is an honor roll student. Ty Cammack Cammack receives Arrow of Light Ty Cammack, son of Mike and Linda Murray, received his Arrow of Light Award during Pack meeting meet-ing April 25. He is a member of Troop 891 of the Glines 5th Ward under the direction of Valin Allred. Cammack is a 5th grade student at Discovery Elementary. He enjoys playing baseball, basketball, football foot-ball and soccer. Camp Tokawana D.U.P. The last meeting for the 1995-96 year was held at the home of Dclyle Richards with Thcda Washburn as co-hostess. Captain Washburn welcomed wel-comed the daughters. Margaret Roberts of the Uintah Company installed the officers for the 1996-97 year. Reva Anderson will be the new captain, with Marily Thackcr as first vice, and Afton Caldcr as 2nd vice. The Pledge was led by Barbara Jollcy. The prayer was given by Afton Caldcr. Elva Allred led the song "Our Utah Pioneers." After the business was taken care of, Marilyn Thackcr told about the Utah Scmi-Ccntcnnial Jubilee Medal. 1847-1897. The medal was presented by the Slate Lake Tabernacle on July 22, 1987. Darbara Jollcy presented the lesson les-son on "Pioneer Journals," telling about the journals of Charles A. Scott and Elizabeth Cummings. There w ere 15 members present. Hadlock Hadlocl earns Eag,e rank Jared F. Hadlock, son of Kent F. and Kathy Hadlock, was awarded his Eagle Scout Award on April 7. His Explorer leader, Dennis Hoopes, presented him with the Eagle badge. The court of Honor was held in Vernal 8th Ward under the direction of Scout Master Don Preece. Many members of Pack 243, friends and family were in attendance. at-tendance. To complete the requirements of his Eagle Award, Hadlock and his Troop repainted the picnic benches and tables at Iron Springs. He worked under the direction of the Ashley National Forest. Hadlock is 17 years old and he attends at-tends Uintah High School, where he is on the honor roll and owns his own lawn care business. He enjoys the out of doors and spends time in the mountains hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoys playing basketball. BIdg, 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday May 15. n I lie 2 Cletnatia Much Cranium , Srrd Potatoes & Servant's Heart, a vocal ensemble from Trinity Bible College, will present a musical at World Vision Assembly of God, Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. The one hour musical presentation presenta-tion is packed with traditional hymns and gospel songs as well as beautiful, soul stirring words and melodies of some of the fine composers com-posers in Christian music today. The messages of these songs will cause you to meditate on the goodness good-ness of God while the rhythms and harmonies lift your spirit. The music mu-sic will challenge and bless each one that attends. Servant's Heart is a group of seven sev-en students from Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. The three men and four women who make up this group come to Trinity from six states across the midwest. These students are enrolled en-rolled in degree programs in Music, Drama, Youth and Pastoral Studies, Missions, Bible and General Studies. Kenneth R. Prettyman, director of vocal and instrumental music, and chairman of the fine arts department, depart-ment, directs the ensemble. He is a recording artist and a record producer; pro-ducer; he and his wife Carol have shared their musical talents in concerts con-certs throughout the Western half of the United States. Trinity Bible College is a four year Christian College affiliated with the Assemblies of God. AVMC offers babysitting training classes The "Kiddie Kare Klinic" is scheduled to be held at Ashley Valley Medical Center on June 17, 18 and 19. This training class is open to anyone of babysitting age. The clinic will focus on many aspects as-pects of the role and responsibilities of the babysitter. Class participants will receive basic first aid training, safety training and learn what to do in case of an emergency.
