Show THE UTE Indian Tribe received the Most Elaborate float at the Final summer time parade kicks off Fair Vernal 's final parade of the summer sum-mer assembled at the corner of 800 West and Main Street last Saturday morning. The parade kicked off the Uintah County Fair activities. One hundred and forty entries, danced, marched, walked, skipped and hopped as well as rode bikes, uni-cycles, uni-cycles, horses, tractors, floats and skateboards over the parade route which lasted more than an hour. Awards went to: most impressive display, UBET Cellular; most elaborate, elab-orate, Ute Indian Tribe; most unique, Vernal City Youth Council; most impressive club, UHS Marching Band; best of business, Duchesne County Hospital; and best of industry, Dinosaur Expeditions. The best antique car entry was given to Sonny Foster. A group of some 50 people from the Bethel Chapel danced and sang the entire distance and earned the best musical performance award. Several honorable mentions were also given to entries. . Bonnie Moon, parade chairman, said that they attempted to draw from all different aspects of the county, including agricultural, business busi-ness and educational and social interests. in-terests. She said she was pleased with the number and quality of entries en-tries in the parade. The Fair will continue through Saturday with the baby show today as well as the scond night of PDQ team penning. Kids' Day is Thursday with all exhibits open to the public. Baillie and the Boys will headline the state finals True ValueCoca Cola Country Showdown on Friday. The pie and ice cream concest is Saturday, as well as a horse show, the Farm Bureau Cook off, horse pull contest and dance.
