Show Cara Lee Asay and Joseph G. Hacking Asay and Hacking to marry in Salt Lake Temple Cara Lee Asay and Joseph G. Hacking have chosen Friday, Aug. 13 to be married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They will be honored at an open house on Saturday, Aug. . 14, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the home of the groom's grandparents, Grant and Mildred Hacking, 1745 North 3500 West. Cara Lee is the daughter of Jesse and Janice Asay of Kent, Wash. She is a graduate of Kent-Meridian High School in Kent, and is currently attending at-tending Brigham Young University. Joseph is the son of Douglas and Adee Hacking of Vernal. He is a graduate of Henry Foss High School in Tacoma, Wash, and served a two-year mission for the LDS Church in Costa Rica. He is also al-so attending BYU. Following their wedding, the new-lyweds new-lyweds will reside in Provo to continue con-tinue their education. Danette Young and Jeff Garrard Young and Garrard to wed in Jordan River Temple Danette Young, daughter of Bert and Vonae Young of Lapoint, and Jeff Garrard of Grantsville, son of the late Wilson and Norma Garrard, have chosen Thursday, Aug. 12 to be married in the Jordan River LDS Temple. They will be honored at a reception on Friday, Aug. 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Davis LDS Chapel, 1475 East 4000 South in Vernal. Following their wedding, the couple cou-ple will reside in Glenwood Springs, Colo, where Danette will be employed as a dental hygenist and Jeff a computer draftsman. He is currently attending USU majoring in international business busi-ness and marketing. He served an LDS mission in Tokyo, Japan. Following their wedding, the couple cou-ple will live in Logan to continue their education. Gerie Lynne Clark and Tom Shiozaki Clark and Shiozaki to marry in Manti Temple Gerie Lynne Clark and Tom Shiozaki have chosen Friday, Aug. 13 to be married in the Manti LDS Temple. They will be honored at an open house on Saturday, Aug. 14, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 1676 South 3150 West in Vernal. Their parents are Jesse and Darlene Benner of Vernal and Jay and Mary Shiozaki ofNephi. The bride-elect is a graduate of Baumholdcr American High School of Baumholder, Germany. She is the agency manager at Paulson-Leavitt Insurance Company. The prospective groom is a graduate gradu-ate of American Fork High School and the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. He is the pharmacy manager at Davis IGA. Following their wedding, the couple cou-ple will continue to reside in the Vernal. ANNOUNCEMENT Dr. and Mrs. Taylor Smith will be leaving Ashley Valley Medical Center to return to their home in Texas. The couple will be honored at a reception following fol-lowing the wedding from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Jodi Ann is the daughter of Joyce Ann Jones and the late Norman P. Jones of Lehi. She is a graduate of Lehi High School and the LDS Seminary. She graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor's degree in nutrition and food science. She will be attended by Suzie Cindrich and Stephanie Decker. Ed "Eddy" is the son of Patsy Rasmussen and the late John Edward Samuels of Vernal. He is the step-son of the late Grant M. Gerber of Roosevelt who raised him from a small child and Max Rasmussen of Vemal. Ed is a 1987 graduate of Union High School and the LDS Seminary. He attended Utah State University where he graduated in June of 1992 with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics. He is currently employed em-ployed as a credit manager for Norwest Financial in Ogden. Best man duties will be performed by Lance Nielson with Rodney Mezenen serving as groomsman.
