Show 4 Vernal Expfettfldverttsef Obituaries Wednesdoy, August 13, 1986 School . Vernal service for Marie Hatch Marie Rasmussen Paulson Hatch, 84 of Vernal, died at IDS Hospital Aug. 7 1986. She was born April 22, 1902 in Jensen, a daughter of John Taylor and Ester Jan Hardy Rasmussen. She married Art H. Paulson, he died May 17, 1950. Jan. 13, 1962 she married Bus Hatch at Jackson Hole, Wyo. He died June 18, 1967. She had a very special talent; she could play the organ at school and church when she could barely reach the keys. At age nine her father bought a piano which was shipped to Dragon on a freight wagon. She has played for thousands of funerals, church activities and dances. She played in the Harmony Four Band at the Golden Age Center Friday night dances for almost 13 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Duane A. and Helen Paulson of Vernal; grandsons, Rodney D. Paulson of Houston, Texas, Randy Lee Paulson of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Dennis J. Paulson of Vernal; four great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Leona Jorgensen, Mrs. Elma Smith and Willard R. Rasmussen all of Vernal, and Manford (Doc) Rasmussen of Rosalie Burton funeral in Vernal Funeral services for Rosalie Miles DeJournette Burton, age 90, of Vernal were Thursday, Aug. 7, at Thomson's Vernal Mortuary. The services were conducted by Larry H. Brady. Prelude and postlude music was by Melba Eaton. Loren H. Jepson gave the invocation. invoca-tion. Following remarks by Larry H. Brady, Ralph Siddoway spoke. Dorothy Luck and Daun DeJournette sang "Wonderful Mother of Mine", Gene Ray Hall spoke. Dorothy Luck and Daun DeJournette sang "Little Green Valley". Woodey B. Searle gave the benediction. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park. Glenn Hatch dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Butch Hall,1 David Hatch, Wayne Kurtz, Bill Jackson, Grant Campbell, Bill Kurtz and Isamu Maesato. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal 2nd Ward Chapel. Gene Hall gave the family prayer, prelude and postlude music was by Amy Lube and Bill Rasmussen gave the invocation. Bishop Jean R. Jones gave some remarks. Woodey B. Searle spoke and Dawna Hall sang "Beyond the Sunset." Nancy Bastic sang "I Did It My Way." Leo Jorgensen spoke. Stormy Tomlinson sang "Because He Lives," and Kay Hunting and Enola Montgomery sang "Beautiful Land." Rodney Paulson gave the benediction. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of Thomson's Thom-son's Vernal Mortuary. Pallbearers were Robert Wardell, Hoyle Chew, Steve Paulson, Tom Hatch, Don Smith and Kent Jorgensen. Continued from page 1 complex (state grant money) $130,310.
