The Canyons features varied offerings One part of The Canyons that has received a lot of attention this year is the resorts SoBe Terrain Park. 'Hie park is located at a high elevation to provide more snow coverage and covers a lot of acreage. One big difference this year is the lack of a Superpipe. According to Eldridge customers preferred a high quality terrain park to the high-maintenance Superpipe. They will still have seven halfpipes. Managed by Eric Brown, the terrain park has twenty features and park areas for all-ability levels. "We're committing more lime and effort to the park as a whole this season, because the upkeep of the Superpipe is so great," said Eldridg'e. We iislened to our customers, to what really mattered to them and it was putting the effort into the terrain park as a whole." The Canyons • is also offering a number of events. Every Saturday they have an all-inclusive Western night at the Red Pine Uxlge, complete with a Uiilight $piidola-ridc_.a barbecue dinner and country danc- ing. "No driving necessary," joked Eldridge. On New Year's Eve 'Die Canyons will offer a free evening for of music by Collective Soul and fireworks. "The New Year's Eve event is a good way to ease into the holidays and fun for the whole family. It's good for visitors staying at the resort, as well as other visitors and locals who come to the Canyons," said Eldridge. A week later, they welcome talented young ski and snowboarders to the mountain for the Sports Illustrated for Kids Next Snow Search Super Qualifier sponsored by Snow Monsters as they look for the best skiers and snowboarders that will be sent to a final competition in Colorado. Overall, Eldridge says. The Canyons has attempted to respond the needs off all interests and needs of both visitors and locals.
