Show John H. Behrens BOUNTIFUL John Henry Behrens passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 1991 in Bountiful of cancer. He was 69 years old. He was born to John and Adelaide i Behrens July 4, 1921 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was married ; to his wife Elizabeth Nov. 27, 1946 in Brooklyn, 1 Kings, N.Y. The wedding was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple June 9, 1950. John served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Signal Service Battalion Bat-talion in Germany. It was in Bad Kessington, Germany that he met his future wife. After the war he continued his career ca-reer in the insurance industry. He was a special agent for Continental Insurance In-surance Company in Albany, N.Y. and was subsequently transferred to Salt Lake City as branch manager. Later, he founded his own insurance agency in Bountiful. John was an active member of the LDS Church. In Albany he was in the branch presidency. He was an ordinance or-dinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple Tem-ple for many years. He and his wife were involved in the extraction program. pro-gram. He is survived by his sister Doris Clements, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Jan. 31, in the Bountiful 44th Ward chapel. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
