Show i Friendship Week held at BHS m ; By TODD KELSEY Bountiful High is surviving these terribly cold days rather well. It's no use ditching school because it is ! so much warmer inside the building. So we're just trying to stay interested. Actually we're be- ing kept interested since the end of the semester is Jan. 30, and the week of the 27-30 is test week. But ; remember that the 31st is a Career Ladder Day and a nice break. Last Friday night our basketball ! team lost to Granite in a real tight I game with a couple of close deciding calls toward the final ! seconds. Anyway, after it was pret- ty nervous with a lot of people wan- ting to fight, but BHS showed a lot of class by just shrugging them off and walking away. X just hope we show that same class when Granite comes to our place on Valentine's Day. This Friday night we play West at home, 7 p.m. There's a stomp after, so come on out of the cold and visit us here at good old BHS. I know we'd all love to have you. Rave j This week has been friendship week, and we've all been walking around giving hugs, hellos and high-fives. Come together, guys, the more the better. Thanks for all your support in the activities. You really make our jobs easy with all you guys do just getting involved. Also thanks for respecting the decorations, dec-orations, they took a lot of time, and we appreciate the care and concern you showed toward them. The holy senior class officers put' on a great sledding party last Friday. Fri-day. Though the participation was slim, it was still a good time, and that way the refreshments spread more thickly. Congratulations to Brian Phillips, Jason Jordan and Tim Beck. Others tried, but nobody else could get to that second hill without pushing. You guys rip. And thanks to the SCO's for all the cool activities you come up with. I hope everybody will appreciate them and get involved in their ideas. Yep, that's it So curl up with a good book tonight, and maybe an electric blanket, and think of the good old BHS, standing like a rock in the frozen wastelands of Bountiful. Boun-tiful. We live, and so it does, too. |
