Show West Bountiful extends its water services out of town Since the city gets its culinary water from the Weber Basin and is currently building a new well, Wild said a water shortage does not seem to be an imminent danger. Should a shortage occur. Wild said the residences would easily be able to switch back to the wells from which they are currently obtaining ob-taining their water. Non-residents will have to pay an additional fee for extending the line to their homes. Meter placement may also cost a little more, but the council has yet to determine that cost. "We hope to ultimately loop the line back into the system in order to enhance water pressure and to help keep the lines clean," Wild said. The service would bring the residences skirting the city limits one step closer to possible annexation. By JENNIFER PETERSON Staff Writer The West Bountiful City Council has decided to extend its water service ser-vice outside city limits as far as 1450 West and 400 North. The decision came as several residents requested the service to replace their current well service. But City Administrator Wendell Wild said the families who will benefit from the service are also being be-ing cautioned that the city is obligated to city residents first County residents would have to be secondary. "We would be glad to provide the service as long as there is an abundance of water," Wild said. |
