Archers gather for deer test PARK CITY Archers from all over the western United States will gather in Park City July 23-24 for the first annual Utah 3-D Deer Classic. Billed as a "complete archery happening," the Classic will feature fea-ture a weekend of events to entertain enter-tain and educate archers of all ages and abilities. Two realistic archery ranges will be set amongst the Park City Ski Resort Center, with each course featuring lifelike, three-dimensional three-dimensional deer targets in natural settings. The Classic will also feature demonstrations de-monstrations from local archery retailers. Members of the Utah Professional Archery Association will help participants in "fine tuning" tun-ing" their bows. There will also be hourly drawings for prizes, with a grand prize of a fully outfitted mountain bike. Sponsored by Hoyt-Easton Archery Company of Salt Lake City, an old-fashioned chuckwa-gon chuckwa-gon barbecue will be part of the festivities Saturday night. Two of America's foremost archery hunters, hun-ters, Dwight Schuh and Jim Dougherty, will conduct seminars as well. Those interested should contact Hoyt-Easton Archery at 539-1405. |
