Pallbearers were Gam Evans, Floyd Ahlstrom, Jerry Kilfoyle, Ralph Firth, Edward Ellison and Harris Simmons. Alean Watt Ellison Layton, 85, of Salt Lake City, died Monday, June 27, 1988 at her home of causes incident to age. She was born May 25, 1903 in Layton, a daughter of James E. and Jane Golightly Watt Ellison. She married Leonard Hill Layton, May, 1927, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1953. She attended LDS High School in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah where she was a member of the Delta Delta De-lta Delta Sorority. She was formerly a resident of Layton and had served in the Relief Society presidency and as a a teacher in other auxiliaries in the Layton 4th LDS Ward. She was a member of the Bay View Club, Davis County's oldest women' s club, and a member of the Acacia Bridge Club. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Jame L. Stromquist, Salt Lake Cit-y; Cit-y; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, David J. Ellison, Salt Lake City; Isabel Ellison Adams, Palm Springs, Calif.; Vera Layton Merrell, Layton. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Funeral services were held July 1 with Bishop Stearns Kilfoyle officiating. offi-ciating. Haven Barlow; Bar-low; remarks, Bishop Stearns Kilfoyle; Kil-foyle; "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" by the congregation; speakers, Jane Stromquist, Eve Stromquist and Donald Stromquist; Strom-quist; "The Lord My Pasture Will Prepare" by the congregation; benediction, be-nediction, Howard Smith.
