Show 55A na W5Y tteii By GARY R. BLODGETT KAYSVILLE Saturday, June 1 1 , could be a red letter day in Utah. A spokesperson for the George Bush-for-President election campaign announced this week that there is a "better than 50-50 chance" that Mr. Bush will make a one-day stop in northern Utah on June 11. The most likely site for the Republican presidential candidate to land would be at Salt Lake International Airport. But plans are afoot to have the GOP hopeful land in Ogden, closer to Hill Air Force Base, Thiokol, and other military installations, according to the spokesperson. It was emphasized that no definite plans have been approved, "but Mr. Bush is aware of the proposal and is getting full support from the GOP Congressional delegation from Utah," she said. |
