Show kb Council unanimous Mshop plan approved of producing the paper at their reporting office. The journalism section of the Department of Communications will be able to implement the backshop in its course work. The backshop will offer lab training for journalism students to acquaint ac-quaint them with the printing aspects as-pects of publication. The equipment will be housed in the Union Bldg. in the space now occupied by the Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) Vice President and the ASUU Assembly office. For the past five years, various proposals have been suggested in hopes of obtaining the backshop. This year's Chronicle editor Bill Marling and business manager Richard Shockey finally came up with the accepted plan. Publications Council unanimously approved the backshop proposal for the Chronicle at their meeting. Monday. University President Alfred Emery gave final consent to the plans following the an-mncement an-mncement of the Council's decision. The backshop will enable the Chronicle to do its own composition com-position in the Union Bldg. Equipment will include a photo-nc photo-nc typesetter, a headline , an offset camera to Photograph the final page s, light tables and layout 'Wraent.
