The Alumni Association has established es-tablished several new programs following major changes three years ago in order to emphasize the objectives and value of the Alumni Association to the University. Univer-sity. U-Talk Through the efforts of the Alumni Association U-Talk was presented to the members of the community to acquaint them with tire teachers and teaching methods being used at the University. Members of the association also invited out-of-state alums back to Homecoming, providing a lunch and campus tours to re-acquaint former University students with both the old and new parts of the school and studentbody. Mrs. Ence stated that the two basic goals of the Alumni Association Associa-tion are to "work together with the University students and people off campus in order to appreciate each group's goals and accomplishments, andto cultivate, within alumni chapters, financial support, for the University. The Alumni Association is also stressing student involvement and has been working to establish student stu-dent committee members along with faculty and community workers in their campus programs. Special Luncheon The next major activity planned by the Alumni Association, said Mrs. Ence, is a special luncheon for the Alumni Women's Organization, where special guest speaker will be Mrs. Martin Luther King. "The Alumni Association will be working this year, through all committee members and with the help of specially planned programs pro-grams to get many people to see |
