Show Five tickets down and your car to go Student automobiles are subject to impounding after issuance of five violation tickets, Fred Nay, dispatcher at the Security Department said Thursday. Thurs-day. Previous parking regulations stated that after eight tickets had been given his car would be impounded, im-pounded, but the lower number is to protect the student from piling up a significant financial fine. To get his car back, the owner must pay towing expenses in addition to the total sum of tickets received. Some students have paid as high as $120, not including towing fees. After the fifth ticket, a warning citation is given to notify the student that his car will be in jeopardy if he is issued another ticket. The Security Department Depart-ment is keeping closer tabs on the number each student has accumulated to date. In the past, tabulation tabu-lation was not as organized as now. To get the car back, the student must go to J. Leslie Courtland, traffic appeals officer, and settle the tickets before the car can be released. If there are additional questions, students may contact the Security Department on the regulations and enforcements governing this problem. |
