Show CAST OF "Six Character! in Search of an Author" appear to be unconcerned about the surroundings and props delving with the play beginning tonight at Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The finest drama penned by a Nobel Prize winner, "Six Characters Char-acters in Search of an Author," will cap the University's Little Theater season: WITH A CAST of 18 "characters" "charac-ters" instead of six, Director Robert Hyde Wilson will stage thfs Luiei Pirandello masterpiece and drama, filled with the essence es-sence of both, "Six Characters" Charac-ters" was chiefly responsible for Pirandello's capturing the Nobel Prize for literature In 1934. It's the story of a family of six "characters" '("really sevei," observes Mr. Wilson) who go looking for a director who will be willing to put the drama of their lives upon a stage and of a cast of players who want to act out that drama, but are haunted by their inability to portray reality. "No more Intriguing, stimulating stim-ulating drama has been penned in this century," said the director. di-rector. He has assembled a seasoned cast of student "veterans" in lead roles. Neil Barclay, who tookcharacter roles in two major ma-jor season productions this year, "The Visit" and "Charley's Aunt," will play the Director. John Bizakis, praised for his "Firebug" role in the season's first hit, "Biederman and the Firebugs," will play the Father, with Lynne Johnson as the Mother, Linda Smith as the Stepdaughter, Step-daughter, David Dean as the Son and Chery Johnson as the shop owner, Madame Pace. Others in the cast are Tom Drury, Georgia Garff, Madelon Thomas, Mike Sharp, Jim Jansen and Carol Lindblad. Monday thru Saturday in the Little Theater of Pioneer Memorial Memo-rial Theatre.
