Show ;Dean Eyring To Keynote Seattle Humanities Confab I Dr. Henry Eyring, Dean of the Graduate School at the University, Uni-versity, will be one of the keynote key-note speakers for the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium Sym-posium Wednesday through Friday Fri-day at the University of Washington Wash-ington at Seattle. A second keynote key-note speaker will be Dr. Nathaniel Nathan-iel Lawrence of Williams Col- lege in Massachusetts. j DR. EYRING, president-elect of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, will speak on "The Use of Models in . Science," on Wednesday. The primary objectives of the symposium are to advance the education of outstanding students stu-dents in the fields of science and mathematics and to demonstrate demon-strate the relationships of science sci-ence to the humanities. About 200 high school juniors jun-iors and seniors and high school science teachers are expected to attend. Joint sponsors of the program pro-gram are the University of Washington and the Office of Army Research i n Durham, North Carolina, in cooperation with the Boeing Company, IBM and the Simpson Timber Com- 1 pany. |
