Mr. and Mrs. Garth Fisher end baby daughter left Monday afternoon for Texas, where Garth is serving with the U S Air Force. e Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood are moving into the' brick home of Karl Truman. i i Each year the town sponsors a Father and Son banquet. Friday Fri-day night, May 11th, they enjoyed en-joyed the evening, including a nice program, floor show, and food of all sorts. The proceeds will be used for a scout outing this summer. Saturday morning the Boy Scouts, under leadership of Bishop Hollingshead, motored to St. George to. swim and enjoy the sunshine. About 20 boys participated, returning home in the early evening. A number of our MIA young couples participated in a music and dance festival at Beaver last Saturday. Rainy weather forced the show indoors, in-doors, but the program was one of the best to be presented in recent years. Mrs. Mary Ellen Matthews was indeed happy to have her family with her on Mother's Day. Her children,- Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins, entertained them all at their home, serving a lovely dinner to the follow- - ing: Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Matthews, Mat-thews, Mrs. Bonnie Perry and three daughters of Cedar City, I Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Matthews j and daughter LaRae, Mrs. Lucy Nichols, Judy and Roger of Antimony; Mrs. V. D. Spencer of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Matthews and son Tommy; Tom-my; Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Wood and Leola Gillins, also a grandson, grand-son, Ronald Wood of Beaver. This was the first family get-together get-together for several years and was a happy reunion for Min-ersville's Min-ersville's eldest pioneer daughter. daugh-ter.
