Show TRCPHYS TO BE GIVEN WINNERS AT STOCK SHOW Final plans and preparations are being made for the Beaver County Livestock Show, to be held at Minersville on May 19, starting at 10 a. m., according to Ralph Pearson, show manager. man-ager. Judges for the show will be Lyman Rich, extension dairyman dairy-man from U S A C, dairy cattle; Kay Bendixon, Panguitch, Garfield Gar-field County Agent, Beef, sheep and swine. Seven gold trophies will be awarded for champions of the show, as follows: Champion range bull, awarded award-ed by Minersville Cattle Assn.; champion artificially sired heifer, heif-er, by Cache Valley Breeding Assn.; champion dairy cow, by Anderson Dairy; champion Her-ford Her-ford female, by Milford Lions Club; champion fat steer, by Minersville Feed and Supply; champion feeder steer, by Beaver Beav-er Lions Club, and champion lamb, by Tri-State Lumber Co. of Milford. Sam and Harold Cline will award a show halter to winner of the beef fitting and showing contest, and a show halter will also be awarded to the winner of the dairy fitting and showing contest. Many other prizes will be awarded by various business firms of Beaver County, and a complete list of these will be listed at a later date. Lunch will be served at noon on the show grounds. |
