Show DAYS OF '20 VARIETY SHOW TO BE NOVEL ENTERTAINMENT Saturday, Dec. 10th, the American Legion Auxiliary will present a Iwo-hour old-time old-time variety show, featuring local talent throughout. "Scores of talented performers perform-ers are in the cast," accord-to accord-to Mrs. Mary Long, director, "and they will present a wide variety of acts, including popular popu-lar vaudeville numbers, song-and song-and dance combinations, band numbers, and vocal and instrumental instru-mental numbers." Comedy, dances, barber shop quartet numbers, a 1920 bathing beauty act, can-can dancers, pantomimes, singing darkies, and audience-participation acts, all costumed to fit the theme, will make up the entertainment fare. Included in the can-can 'girls' are John Grimshaw, Bob Davis, and Junior Kirk. The barber shop quartet will be composed of Gale Elmer, Carlyle Gron-ning, Gron-ning, Jesse Long and Homer Christenscn. Bathing beauties pre Betty Davis, Ida Smith, Gloria Slinkerd, and Pat Stewart. Stew-art. Bill and Jerry Kirk will do the Charleston, and Dan Ferguson Fergu-son will sing two old favorite melodies. Norman Lamb has worked up two specialty numbers, and Sally Williams and Sandra Beard are billed for a pantomime. panto-mime. Richard Bell will sing "Girl in a Gilded Cage," and many other acts are scheduled. As a special prize, a turkey will be given to the lady who has a certain item in her purse. Curtain time is 8 p. m., in the Milford High School auditorium. |
