Show TIGERS WIN AND LOSE IN LOCAL PRACLICE GAMES Basketball fare for Milford Tiger fans includes: At Enterprise, Thursday, Dec. 8th (tonight) Wayne Co. High at Milford, Friday, Dec. 91h. At Panguitch, Thursday, Dec. 15th. Panguitch at Milford, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, Dec. 21st. Vee Wadsworth, 5 ft 11 inch Tiger center, led the Milford basketball squad to victory in their opening game of the season sea-son when he dunked 10 field goals and six of nine free throws for 26 points against South Sevier, Se-vier, Thursday night of last week. His score was more than three times that of any of the other 23 players who participated, partici-pated, and lacked only six points of equalling the combined com-bined scoring threat' of the entire en-tire South Sevier team. In Saturday night's game with Lincoln High of Nevada, other Tiger wheelhorses showed up well and hometown fans have already begun beating the drums for a district championship champion-ship team. Boyd White and Fred Wright will dunk their share of field goals throughout the year, and Meadows, Banks and Wise -vill show improvement and help win games for Milford. Ronald Banks packs too much weight to be a fast-break artist but if the Tigers start working him on a swivel-shot under the basket, he will be among the top scorers of the district. The Saturday game against Lincoln was "good" for Milford High. They lost 61 to 46, but in losing should have learned quite a bit about aggressive, team-work basketball. Those lads from Panaca knew what they were going to do when they went on the floor and they did it. Jim Rice, 5 ft 8 in. senior, and Gayle Reese, also a 5 ft 8 senior, are about as smooth a pair of casaba artists as Milford has ever seen, and their teammates fed them the ball when they were in shooting distance.
