Show BEAVER BEAVERS DOWN 'KITTENS' Milford's Tigers purred like kittens last Friday when the Beaver Beavers came to town, and when the visitors were thru pitching baskets and running circles the hometowners were on the wrong end of a 26 to 39 score. There was hardly a bright spot in the whole evening's show for Milford fans. Beaver started off in front, and stayed there all the way except tor a brief flurry in the third period when the Tigers tied the score and went out in front by two points for a few seconds. Then the visitors again took command com-mand and stayed in front. In pre-season play, the local squad exhibited some top-quality basketball, playing like champions against Pleasant Grove, South Emery, and South Sevier. But with the start of league competition, when the chips were down and the games counted they lost their spark, their shooting eye, and maybe their will to win. The Tigers are a well-coached ball club the smooth floor work and deceptive passing of some of the pre-league games is sufficient evidence of that fact. Neither Beaver nor Delta has :he material to compare with Milford's first string this year. Most of the fans are wondering wonder-ing why, when the team goes into league play, they fall apart. Friday, they play Enterprise at Milford. Even though Enterprise Enter-prise has been setting the Dixie Division afire and winning ball games they were doped to lose by 15 points, we predict the Tigers will win this one it doesn't count in league standings. stand-ings.
