Show first mnxb By MRS. EDNA NICHOLS Genealogy class will be held at Don Larson's home Friday June 27th, at 7:30 p. m. Sister Roper is the teacher. Everyone is invited to attend. Next Sunday in Sacrament meeting the bishopric of the second ward will be the speakers. speak-ers. The meeting starts at 6:30. and all are welcome. Sunday School last Sunday morning was a very interesting meeting. Bro. Gronning invited all in the parents' class to act as missionaries and bring a neighbor neigh-bor next Sunday. The opening prayer was by Howard Curtiss. Thurland Sly and Richard Varley passed the sacrament assisted by Gary Weston, Ned Kohler, and John Killam, Joyce Gronning gave the sacrament gem, and talks were given by Marie Barton and Sherrie Gillins. Mr. Davenport pronounced the benediction. Stake visitors were Boyd Evans, Joseph Nelson and Bro. Terry. Those taking part in Junior Sunday School were: Douglas Killam, opening prayer; Roland Barnes, sacrament gem, and poems by Elaine Davis and Diana Di-ana Weston. Correlation meeting was held Sunday at 2 p. m. Business of the ward was discussed. There were representatives from the Sunday School, Primary, MIA and Bishopric. We are very happy to announce an-nounce that the now seats and other changes in the chapel will soon be available. Also, all ward members who have not contributed to this fund, it will be greatly appreciated if you will do so. We need more than we have' collected tr finish this project. Sacrament meeting June 22nd was under direction of Bishop R. E. Jones. Speakers were Richard Banks, LaPriel Banks, and Norma Edwards, who gave reports from MIA conference. A piano solo was played by Alma Sly. Don Larson gave the invocation, and Jessie Mae Roper the benediction. Deacons were Richard Varley, V. Wads-ivorth, Wads-ivorth, Robert Glenn and Larry Edwards. Book of Mormon class was held at the Dick Banks home, after the lesson, LaPriel served pineapple cream pie to those present. Next meeting will be at the Cecil Edwards home. The Home Builders Holiday was held in Minersville Thursday, Thurs-day, June 19. Games were played under direction of Stake Officers Macel Horton and Gay Murdock. The girls sang the "Home Builders Song." Ice cream, cookies and root beer were served to the girls and their parents. There was a large attendance. |
