Show jffrst liMarb I By MRS. ALMA SLY The Seagull graduation from Primary was held Sunday evening eve-ning during sacrament meeting. Mrs. Dorothy Terry, teacher of girls, namely RaNae Norton, Shanna Thompson and Marion Lyman. Their theme was carried car-ried throguhout the program, "Home Builders." As their name was called each girl passed throug an "arch of roses" and "over the threshold" to receive re-ceive diplomas and into Mutual. Mrs. Edna Nichols, Primary president, presented them to Mrs. Norma Edwards, first counselor coun-selor in the Young Women's Mutual; she in turn invited them into our MIA. Orin J. Loveland of the bishopric gave a very inspiring talk on our homes here and wherever they may be. Friday evening at 7:30 p. m. the genealogical meeting will be held at the Henry Roper home. Friday and Saturday will be the Boy Scouts stake jamboree at Ranch Canyon. All scouts are urged to attend. The Book of Mormon class washeld at the James Hardy home. There were 13 in attendance. attend-ance. Next meeting will be announced an-nounced later. The Teachers Quorum of the Aaronic Priesthood had an outing out-ing at Rock Corrall for all teachers teach-ers and their 'partners. A good time was had by all, Monday, May 19th. Young boys and girls of the older Primary age left for a temple excursion Tuesday morning. morn-ing. Next week we will be able to tell more about their trip. There will be a Stake Swarm Day at Beaver First-Third Ward chapel Friday, May 23, for all Bee Hive girls. lone Baxter was in charge of Relief Society last Wednesday, while all officers and teachers attended Tri-Stake convention in Parowan. Mrs. Elsie Draper and Mrs. Norma Edwards were members of the committee, and served light refreshments to members present. Quilting and sewing of carpet rags were done during work period. |
