Show COUNTYHOSPITAL ; TO BE DISCUSSED ! AT SATURDAY MEET ! A public mass meeting to d'scussi the proposed Beaver 1 County Hospital will be held at I the Milford High School audi-I audi-I torium Saturday, May 24th, beginning be-ginning at 8 p. m. Every interested inter-ested resident of the county is urged to attend the meeting. Plans for the county-wide meeting are "progressing nicely," nice-ly," it was announced by Dr. Eugene Davie. Representatives from Minersville and a group from Beaver plan to attend the public meeting, Dr. Davie said, and it is expected that a large group will represent Milford. "The growth of the agricultural agricul-tural community around Minersville Miners-ville and South Milford makes a larger hospital mandatory," Dr. Davie said. "The general population usually requires one hospital bed for each 100 individuals, indi-viduals, which would give this county an even larger bed requirement re-quirement than 25. However, this is considered adequate in I view of the many large hospitals hospit-als in Salt Lake City. The construction con-struction of a new hosptial for Beaver will greatly aid in the civilian defense plans for this area. It is anticipated that many thousands of people will crowd into our mountain valleys as a result of possible atomic attacks on the West Coast. A new and j larger hospital will certainly give us a better chance of tak-ing tak-ing care of these people and our- selves. I "Inasmuch as this issue is of vital interest to everyone in the j county, leaders are hoping that everyone who can possible make it will be present at the meeting." |
