Show 1 1 - i Society Clubs Mrs. Patricia Williams. Edilor Phone 150 MR. AND MRS. Thurland D. Sly entertained their pinochle club Monday at 9 o'clock. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Don Holbrook, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sullivan, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard, Mrs. Maurine Miller, and Mrs. Norma Edwards. Prizes were won by Mr. Aagard, Mr. Sullivan, Mrs. Aagard and Mrs. Miller. Mrs. Sly served light refreshments at midnight. MRS. K. L. ARCHER received re-ceived members of the Thursday Thurs-day Night Bridge club and guests at her home the evening of May 15. After a dessert lunch served by the hostess, the time was spent playing cards. Prizes were won by Mrs. J. H. Weston, Mrs. Powell Smyth and Mrs. William Cochrane. Others in attendance were Mrs. ,V. L. Boucher, Mrs. J. R. Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Mrs. Sam Cline and Mrs. E. L. Smith. MRS. JANE GILLIES had as her guests members of her pinochle club, last Thursday evening. The prize winners were Mrs. Lou Campbell, Mrs. Doris Gustavson, Mrs. Barbara Mayer and Mrs. Inez Steinfels. Others enjoying the evening were Mrs. Pat Stewart, Mrs. . Eleanor Murdock, Mrs. Joyce Coon and Mrs, Dorothy Grim-shaw. Grim-shaw. REGULAR MEETING of the American Legion Auxiliary was held at the home of Mrs. Ardath Outzen last Monday evening, with President Magdalena White conducting the business session. Mrs. Outzen served a frozen salad and nut bread. Bridge was played -after the meeting. Mrs. Jane Gillies and Mrs. Patricia Williams were' the prize winners. The following children of Mrs. Jessie Frazier were called to Milford because of Mrs. Frazier's serious illness: Ferrin Frazier of Denver ,Co'o.; Alvin Frazier of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Verl Frazier and two children of San Fernando, Cal.; Mrs. Lucille Roberts and Mrs. B. C. Eaton of Grand Junction, Colo. Mrs. Frazier's condition is reported to be improving. Jonniel Aagard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard, celebrated her sixth birth anniversary an-niversary on May 13th. A party was given in her honor in the afternoon. Miss Lois Nason of Helper was in Milford for the graduation gradua-tion of her cousin, Bonnie Munk. The two girls returned to Helper Help-er to attend graduation exercises exer-cises there. Joyce Nason was one of the graduates . Bonnie Munk will be employed em-ployed at Bryce National Park this summer. THE ELLA STANCLIFF Past Noble Grand club met at the I O O F hall Wednesday, May 14th. Vice President Clysta Hutchings Hutch-ings conducted the meeting, and the remainder of the evening eve-ning was spent visiting. I M.RS. WANDA HOLM was surprised on her birthday, May 10, by the following ladies: Mrs. Eva Banks, Mrs. Garnet Garfield, Gar-field, Mrs. Louise Delgardo, Mrs. Florence Barnes, Mrs. Bobby James, Mrs. Vern Shingleton, Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Gar-netta Gar-netta Hollis, Mrs. Marvel Con-nell, Con-nell, Mrs. Mary White, Mrs. Lillian Mellor, Mrs. Nina Bingham, Bing-ham, Mrs. Belle James, Mrs. Lena Morris, Mrs. Phyllis Erick-son, Erick-son, and Mrs. John Smith of Cedar City. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Belle James and Mrs. Bobbie James. Bridge was played, with the following winning prizes: Mrs. Ethel Smith, Mrs. Eva Banks, Mrs. Nina Bingham and Mrs. Phyllis Erickson. Mrs. Holm received many beautiful gifts. MR. AND MRS. Konokichi Kai Imai of San Francisco announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Masuko Masie, to Mr. Ken Nehei, on Sunday, June 8th, at three o'clock in the afternoon, at the Japanese Church of Christ in San Francisco Mr. and Mrs. Imai and family were Milford residents for a number of years. |
